Trump vs Hillary eh?

I just can't wait for Trump to light Hillary on fire over and over and over and over again. No matter how much people dislike what he is saying, no matter how badly the media criticizes him for what he is saying it won't matter to him. He will rain hell-fire down on her and although I don't think he will win it will be the most entertaining POTUS run of all time.

IMO Hillary wants to be POTUS for all the wrong reasons, Trump will tie that message closely with her past actions and go scorched earth.

There is plenty of apathy and disdain for HRC. I do think she would devastate Trump in any serious debates though.
That would all depend on Trump. Let's see how anti-establishment he really is. All you have to do is point out things that most are afraid to do in public and boom.

Ask Romney & McCain how that worked out for them. The Evangelicals wouldn't come out and vote for Romney because he was Mormon and the Tea Partyers turned their nose up at JM because he was too moderate.

Lord with CNN says Trump can win New York as well as Florida and Ohio in November. He will have to to become POTUS.

Hillary will have much help from the '46%' that Romney correctly identified last time around.

It could come down to the independent vote or if Hill's is campaigning from a white collar prison cell.

The problems for Hillary in a general election are simple and it all pertains to 35 and under vote. She isn't likable to this group, they don't trust her, and she is kind of like Jeb in the sense that she is low energy. All of those voters that came out for Obama or all of the youth primary voters for Bernie that have energized his campaign, they just won't turn out in any sort of numbers like 2008/2012. Hell some of Bernie's voters are as anti-establishment as Trump voters, some might even turn his way but for the most part they will just stay home as they will feel that the DNC has stabbed them in the back.

I hope Trump wins and he does some good things, America will be better for it (even though we will be a laughing stock for a year or so). Burn the establishment R and Ds to the ground, shake up the DC powerbrokers and, if Trump is successful, provide a big blow to the "political class" proving that outsiders who don't spend their lives in govt can be successful leading the country. We may even luck out and get 1 or 2 more major political parties out of the deal.

You hope a man with zero national and foreign policy experience, who has openly admitted that he doesn't know how he'll accomplish any of his goals, and has been exposed as having no depth of how our country works, will do some good things? A little early to be hitting the bong, don't you think?

Don't be ridiculous. It is never too early.

When I look at our past 16 year accomplishments I think I am willing to roll the dice. This seems to be the thing that most people are discounting the "outside" candidates on. It is less about the people themselves and is more so a referendum on the "political class" who have gotten us to our current state.

- What about our foreign policy do you like right now? the M.E. is on fire
- What about our wealth/income gap do you currently like right now? Real wages for the middle class have been declining the past 20 years.
- What about our current healthcare policy do you like right now? Premiums are going up faster than ever.
- What about how DC is financed do you like right now? Hillary and the DNC has taken down a firewall Obama put up to try to get big money out of politics.
- What about our judicial and prison system do you like right now?
- What about how Wall Street do you like right now?
- What about our monetary policy do you like right now?

Why do you want to keep giving the same people the opportunity to fix a system they created and have proven time and time again to not want to fix? Hillary might be better at the position and better at navigating through the current system BUT if we want real change, if we want a major shake up of how our country is operated then both the big money donors and political class NEED a rude awakening. If we don't send a message by throwing a wrench in their gears nothing will ever change.

The only thing of real significance that has improved (outside the re-inflating of our asset bubbles) is SSM passed nationwide. Tip of the hat to the SC for getting that done.

The GOP race isn't quite over yet, but the fat lady is moistening up her vocal chords.

It's not happening until the day after Super Tuesday. The biggest problem is that the big money donors of the Republican Party are between a rock and a hard place.

Where do they throw their $$$. Trump isn't really a Republican. They hate HRC. They have no one to promote their selfish agenda. Do they just disappear for 4 more years? They got some serious decisions to make.

Meanwhile... Even if the entire GOP get behind Trump... his negative numbers are so huge that they'll vote for Hillary under the "Anybody but Trump" mantra.

The only real option for the GOP is to throw ALL their money into the Senate races and hope to hang on to the Senate. And the way the pivotal races are shaping up... the Dems are likely to regain the Senate, anyway.

The best direction for the Republican Party is too eliminate the Tea Party crowd and move to a more moderate stance. Otherwise.. the GOP won't sniff the WH before 2024.

My personal opinion is that the Party needs to became less of a group of obstructionists and at least make a "save face" attempt to work with the Dems. Fat chance they admit they're wrong, tho.
