Nah, Ohio State is doing their best Penn State impression and winning all their 50/50 matches and pulling a few upsets. It's bull sh**.
Team wrestled hard today, but just didn't have the offense when they needed it. 6 AA good, needed 8. 1 finalist, needed 2.
Thought Burak wrestled really hard. Evans came on in the 3rd, but to echo others, where is that in 1st period? Brooks seemed to go completely upper body in his loss to Stauffer. Why? He snapped him completely to the mat a couple times. Gilman, was steam rolled and thought this was a typical Big10 match. Will be interested to see how he responds tomorrow. Sorensen is a winner. I hope he ramps up his offense next year and spear-heads a more wide-open attacking style with varied, multiple attacks.

Wrestling involves individuals and their ability to impose their will on others at different levels. Coaches can help build a wrestler, but as we all know it is ultimately about the wrestler on the mat and what he forces himself to believe. When the die is cast, often the result is preordained. Confidence and action go hand in hand. Likewise, passivity and doubt share a bed. These connections are not easily replaced.

Good prediction on your part 86_90.......especially your comments in regard to last years seniors. Hopefully the Hawks upperclassman wrestle to their potential at Nationals this year....if not, it could very well be a repeat of last years tourney. Have enjoyed reviewing the various 11 mth old posts/topics you brought back to life today but this is one of my favorites based on the variety of comments/predictions of other posters.
