Great effort on the boards. 15-0 when we win the rebound battle.
Ahron had 4, honestly would have guessed more, seemed like he was all over at times.
I said it in the game thread, Ahron was an underrated star today. His contribution was noticeable along with Joe T and Connor.
Ahron is easily the best rebounding guard we’ve had since Horner. And he usually plays good defense. Loved when Fran played him at the end with Joe, the Murrays and McCaffery. Very strong defensive and rebounding line up.
It’s our best lineup. Mix Sandfort in for added 3 threat.
I know Fran is preaching to him to not turn ball over, hopefully Sandfort just learns to contain himself a bit.
So many of those rebounds were in traffic, tip to another guy type ones.. The boys got their hands dirty today, it was awesome.
Rebounding is one of the greatest joys of basketball. Playing defense is the other. Scoring is easy if you do the other two. Maybe the Hawkeyes are finally figuring out that inscrutable formula for success . . . and joy . . . rebound and defend. Rebound and defend. Rebound and defend. And WIN.
