Two Deeps/Game Notes for Iowa vs. BC in the Pinstripe Bowl

Show me 1 single example of this...

By piecing together the things I've heard you say, you're in your late 20s early 30s and you're on a message board constantly bitching and moaning about the coach of your favorite sports team.

Dont worry about cm & musk

Sorry I didn't copy the whole text. That was a portion of CM's post to me. I'm not sure if he is confusing me with someone else but he is going to have to look long and hard to find me bash the staff.

You are big in that....Heres the thing I'll wager I'm not the only one who thinks your a little hard/negative. But you are hardly the worst for sure...your buddy scout is horrendous and you can tell by the amount of guys who combat him. He is SUPER negative and crappy. So is your buddy stoops....and you have a"like" history of supporting the super negative guys, so by proxy you share their fate.

Well, tell us all about your expert evaluations of games and your qualifications. If you don't know what your looking at and/or watching film of how they executed on every play and every responsibility, then your 'opinion' is worthless. But opinions actually are worthless by definition.

You've seen Stone play 2 qtrs. and were able to determine that he has 'way more natural ability'. LOL. You don't actually believe your own BS, do you? I watched Gervase live on 3 or 4 occasions when he was in HS and then watched 2 tapes of Stones highlights, and from my 30 yrs. of coaching at many levels, I can tell you that Stone has no more 'natural ability' and is a VERY undisciplined player at this point (as is evident by his 4 block in the back calls on special teams this year and his not taking proper drops in coverage). He has a lot of potential, but he is a LONG ways from challenging Snyder or Gervase for a starting position.

You are correct that Snyder may not start the first game next year because of his DUI and we don't know what his rehab schedule looks like at this time, but there are also questions about Hooker's 'status' right now. I'm not making any guarantees about anything. I'll leave that up to the people 'in the know'...the coaches and not some 'wannabe' on a fan site. Thanks.
Are you that Kilroy guy people always talk about ? You are the definition of a know it all.

Did you feel the need to defend him?

Howdy, just getting ready to start a thread apologizing to you. You are right, I don't find anything where you are over the top critical of the staff or players. But for some reason you find yourself amongst the hyper critical regularly. Scout is an ablsoute a&$ and I'm hardly the only one who would say that. Thumbing about looking for your posts I've ran into countless guys calling his attitude out. Tim Dodge, Joel Bittner, these guys are super crappy fans and you are typically in tow with them it seems. Kind of a guilt by association if you will and you do tow the line...more of a devils advocate I guess. Which I actually get.

Guys like me, I'm not concerned with how smart you think I am or football savvy, I'm just going to call out "BullS&&", boorish behavior when I see it.

And when I'm wrong or out of line I'll say that too. Again I apologize and I'll pay closer attention to what you say moving forward.

Merry Christmas

You will have to.pardon me for not accepting that limp wristed B.S.
See when someone goes so far as to call me "self absorbed" or says I'm "damn sad" or the worst of the worst on pace to be like muskie.... I tend to want more than a soft back peddle consisting of "your like them". For someone who prides themselves in backing people into a corner you sir have put yourself squarely in one. So, provide me a single example of when I have bashed the coaches? Hint: you can search my name in the search bar. I'll wait, you won't find squat. You were wrong, are you man enough to admit it?

I stand corrected. Muskie is not CM. CM is atleast man enough to acknowledge being wrong. No harm, no foul, Merry Christmas.

That's why I put him on "ignore". He doesn't know shit about football and when he's called out on it, he just makes shit up! Trust me, you're better off putting him on ignore.

Whoa dude it seems you might want to take your "own" chill out mantra...Not screwing with you and my apology was sincere but honestly you kind of started down the path of fulfilling what I said earlier...

As for Muskie, please... "now you know". I'm not taking it all that serious but isn't that a tick insulting.

The moral of the story being "we are all" responsible for what we say, you and me both. And as a result you have one of the very most negative guys on this site joining in the disparaging. And if you "aren't negative" as you say, you'd have to agree with that. He isn't liked by many, if not most of the fair minded, respectable types on here. If he liked what I say, I'd be really concerned with what I'd become.

Again, I'll take a more reasonable tone with you moving forward, but in the span of about 30 seconds you were disparaging my character and then all is well. You asked me to research and I did. I noticed you regularly "liked" the hard core haters but you were correct in that you didn't typically say it yourself and I acknowledged that and apologized. Incidentally I've said I'm sorry on here over the years a 100 plus times. I've never struggled admitting I'm wrong...

Do yourself a favor, look around and see how often you crony Scout has...

AGAIN, we are tracking, but if you want the benefit of the doubt, give it..I was wrong, give me time to see....

As far As Muskie goes...I'd take him over Scout 100 times over and I doubt I'm the only one.

I was typing my response to.you while younwere typing your response to me. Had I seen you second response I probably would not have posted the first. Water under the bridge.

No it's not. I couched at a high level for over 25 yrs. I have great knowledge of Iowa's defensive scheme and used to pick Norm Parker's nose at camps for years. So I have delicious snacks, I'm not some fry cook who because he plays Madden and fantasy football he thinks he knows what's going on. Want to try me?
I helped you out, pal. You had a couple words wrong. I fixed them for you - no charge. You are welcome. :p

You've got to be one of the biggest imbeciles on the planet, for me to put you on ignore.

As I've said before there are a lot of people on the site that would readily agree you would definitely know what an imbecile is...kudos for finally admitting it!

Can blair just give You guys a week timeout so we dont have to wade through page after page of your mindless bickering?

I get it, I see what your saying and quite frankly I too have been accused of similar at times. But here's where the rubber hits the highway... look around you, everybody that has a strong opinion about the coaches "sucking" also states their opinion like it's an authoritative fact. What really upsets people is it contradicts what they've said with an aggressive tone. He's not unusual and honestly I'm not screwing with you, but if you think he is...then you are clearly holding him to a different measurement than you are yourself and others.

I mean honestly what kind of person thinks all these critics were just politely saying OG "Kirk Ferentz sucks"...I mean they are saying this with anger and hostility and disdain and condescension...I mean come on let's be honest with ourselves here fellas.

If you've got a problem with Muskie or me, or, or, or anyone...Who argues with your petty bullshit. Then you better have a problem with yourselves.

I get what you're saying and you and I have had our differences of opinion, but I haven't noticed you using the same name-calling tactics or attacking everyone with a difference of opinion. You have strong opinions and, yeah, you have your perceptions of me, but I've never been offended by your opinions or felt disrespected by you. And, yeah, there are a lot of people on this board who argue insanely. I do at times just like most people here, though it's usually during the season and during or right after bad games.

And the "Kirk Ferentz sucks" crowd often chooses or refuses to back up their claims with any objectivity at all--but they've never directed their ire at me even though I'm more middle of the road, perhaps because I lean to expecting a bit more from Ferentz. I try to back that up with some evidence at least even if there are holes in my arguments (which you and others point out at times). But I see the coaching staff's improvement in recruiting the past three years and that makes me relax a bit. between 2013 and 2015, though, they were trending toward the end of Hayden Fry's time.

Anyway, Muskie ... I don't know, maybe he's having a bad month or something. I don't know why you compare yourself to him. You may have similar opinions, but you don't completely dismiss other analyses out of hand unless they are unfounded opinions. Muskie even provides some analysis with some of his opinions which give them more weight, but he can't help himself when it comes to taking a crap on anyone with different opinions. Like I said, maybe he's had a bad month or something. It happens. I haven't been aware of his posts for very long, but lately he's been over the top with attacks on others. That's the perception I have when I open threads and read ten posts and then see his and then the back and forth that pretty much derails whatever discussion was occurring.

I think this thread, well, it's most obvious that the point of contention is the Stone/Hooker versus Gervase/Snyder debate. Both sides have good arguments--or could have good arguments. I don't see it as clear-cut. Stone looks like he has all the tools, but he's played two quarters against a bad Nebraska team. Gervase has experience and has looked both good and bad at times. It'll work itself out. I'm not that invested in it at this point in the season. I'll get fired up about it next August.

As far as my "petty bullshit" ... whatever. I made three long posts about recruiting recently and thought, "Hey, this is a departure from pointless opinionated arguments. Let's look at the data and maybe different people will interpret the rankings differently." It was an attempt, at least. Somehow that's condescending to you. Just because I put out an analysis or opinion, doesn't mean I believe with certainty that I'm right. Prove me wrong, but you can do it without accusing me of pettiness or whatever. I've admitted to others on the board when arguing about something that I hadn't thought of what they were saying and changed my mind and let them know that. But I'm not going to just change my mind about something I've thought about seriously just because someone says I'm a moron or because I'm petty or whatever.

This is a very poignant, sincere post. I get it, you make valid arguments, they are heartfelt and I appreciate you taking the time to lay it out like this.

Merry Christmas!!!

Not sure what happened on this thread but here is my opinion. I have never understood how anybody can claim to be an Iowa football fan and hate Hayden Fry or Kirk Ferentz............Fry and Ferentz is Hawkeye football and I am not sure that can even be debated

Totally agree and I understand being results oriented and "what have you done for me lately"...but a few of these cats, Scout Refugee in particular, Are so anti-and hostile towards the staff it's overbearing. I read something by him here recently where he said that Kirk should've been fired in 2009 and Fran I think in 12 or 13....I mean honestly.
