Tyson v. Paul fight

How fitting this shitshow happened in the home of the Dallas Cowboys!

Hey Jerry.....bet the real reason Tyson couldn't get off was because the sun was in his eyes!

Seriously...one of the few times we got through the buffering was the interview with Jerry. I hope many others were also able to see his mug tied to this farse.

I dunno. Most people missed the main event anyways. A LOT of people that have never cared about boxing actually watched it. And enjoyed it. Watched the undercards out at the sister in laws house around a bunch of hillbilly hunting type buddies of theirs. None had any idea how fight cards work and that there was actually more than one match going on. I saw a group of people interested in something that resembles a ball game that went back and forth vs a melee that's over in 10 minutes like all this UFC shit that pushed boxing aside.

I lived boxing when I a kid. My dad had a descrambler he got from a dude at work so I got to watch all the pay per view at the peak of boxing. It was nostalgic watching and getting interested in it even if I didnt know who the fighters were. It makes me want to catch more boxing again. It'd be cool if that one event can be a catalyst for more boxing events.
I'm in the same boat. My Dad loved boxing. I got a punching bag when I was a kid (early 80s). Some nostalgia there. Boxing when done well is strategy and art. It's what ufc lacks.

I’m an old boxing fan. I do not really care for UFC. I’ve never gotten into it. For multiple reasons boxing lost my fandom and UFC didn’t capture it.

My brother saw G&R live in 2016 and said they were amazing, including Axl.

Keep in mind that was 8 years ago.
I saw G'n'R with Metallica in New Orleans when I was 16.
Our parents agreed to let four of us drive over there and spend the night in a hotel my friend's mom (travel nurse) had free.

I wouldn't dare **** with that memory by seeing them now.

I'm afraid this is no longer physically possible for Axl in the 21st Century:

Faith No More was the opening act, and I actually took a brief nap in my seat (we were up high in the Superdome), because we had left first thing in the morning and hit Bourbon St.
Back then there were guys operating street carts selling 'Hurricanes' and not asking for IDs.
Haven't seen that in the trips I made back there since then (all post-Katrina, seems like Larry Flynt bought up most of Bourbon St).

G'n'R's 'show' was better than Metallica's, but Metallica's music came through muuuuch better.
Honestly, that vid you linked was about how crappy G'n'R sounded, but we were blasted, and had a blast.

It sounds rough, but in good way. And Axl's convulsive flailing and whirling around is entertaining.

Metallica is a giant, well-oiled machine--always solid and professional. GnR was more like lightning in a bottle.

All the running around, pyrotechnics, etc. made for a great show. It was my first concert.

Because there wasn't an internet I didn't even realize why Metallica's show didn't have that stuff going on.
I didn't know Hetfield was burned three weeks earlier:

On August 8, 1992, during the performance at Montreal's Olympic Stadium; several songs into Metallica's set, during the song "Fade to Black",[5] frontman and rhythm guitarist James Hetfield was accidentally torched by pyrotechnics due to a miscommunication with the pyrotechnics director, forcing the band to cut their set short as Hetfield was rushed to the hospital.

Are the Paul’s involved in any business that isn’t a scam? His brother at least seems to love fleecing his fans. Prime garbage sports drink, NFT’s, and other bitcoin cons.
