Ukraine agrees to 30 day cease-fire,...

Tucker Hot Takes
if VZ has all this money squirreled away...what is he still doing leading a country actively engaged in a war?

if all this was just for him to get rich - and he did - why is he still there?

Yeah because this all started during Trump 1.0... oh wait no it didn't... just like the border, this wasn't an issue until the Dems mucked it up.
Russia occupied Ukrainian land during the entirety of Trump 1.0. Unsurprising you didn't know that.

I wouldn't have known without all the I stand with Ukraine flags all over X/Twatter and they didn't show up until the Biden admin.

My daughter has two co-workers from Russia who are naturalized and she swears they are the hardest working people she’s ever known. Both are women married to Russian men and they came with no money. They started businesses and are doing fantastic.
I think that is the case for most immigrants no matter where they came from originally. The majority are hard working people who came to America for a better life.

maybe less of what you think or know should be based on what you see on X/twitter

Best U.S. investment of the last 50 years.
Yeah? What does America have to show for it? It's an investment right? What's our return on investment?

To this point NADA because the most voted for president EVER... struck a deal with the most corrupt government on planet earth and asked for nothing in return.

It's preventative. Like climate policy. You idiots don't have the foresight to understand that.

KF prefers Russia's military to be fully intact and not humiliated for fractions of America's defense budget and no dead US troops.

Infact the best investment was 6 trillion the GOP put us down for in the early 2000s with thousands of dead American troops.

I prefer we quit pussyfooting around. Time for everyone to shit or get off the pot.

Plus would have been much wiser to let outdated weapons cost us more for normal decommissioning vs putting them to use against the country they were built to be used against.

Great so Ukraine is holding a stalemate with the mighty Russians with a bunch of old out of date ready to decom weapons and the world is all afraid of them?

personally...i'm ok with just helping european allies resist the invasion from their hostile neighbors (and especially russia)

helping protect the sovereignty of democratic allies used to be one of the purposes of our foreign policy (post 2001, seems like its just resource acquisition/protection now)

russia invaded georgia - no one did anything
russia invaded crimea - economic sanctions
russia invaded ukraine - military support provided

Because Russians don't care about human meat waves to try and get what they want. No one said Russia is smart. They are counting on the unity of the west to crumble to aid in that goal and maga seems keen on pushing that along.

They're also counting on being able to threaten nukes all the time and maga cowering in the corner, just like Elon and Trump have.

The only proper response is "cool, we'll turn your entire country, along with China, in to ash. If that's what you want then go ahead and do it."

I'm sure they're taking volunteer fighters over there. Instead of sending billions of dollars we are borrowing and paying interest on but will not be getting back... how about we start sending volunteers over to fight... maybe some of these "undocumented people" after 6 months, if they survive, we will give them citizenship... That has to be better than sending them back to the shitholes they came from and gives them a defined path to citizenship. Plus in the process if they FAFO in Ukraine, we can leave them there.

Unchecked Russia aggression will beget more unchecked Russian aggression. This is hardly speculative. This is historical.
If we just bend over and spread our butt cheeks I'm sure Russia will be gentle. Europe did that in the 1930s and it worked well for them.

I’m not afraid of Russia or ISIS or Saddam Hussein or immigrants or trans people or Mikhail Gorbachev or clowns or the Covid vaccine or any number of other things I’ve been told to fear in my 47 years. I believe I have been manipulated by fear in my life more than I have been protected by it. That’s just my opinion. Maybe I’m wrong.

I'm not afraid of Russia. We'd kick their ass in a few weeks if push came to shove. I'm against allowing a shithole country taking land in areas we have interest in. I'm against allowing them to control millions of people who despise them. Russia is a has been that is going to the dustbin of history. They deserve nothing and should get nothing. They had their chance to change and join the west, instead they decided to turn back to despotism again.

you don't have to be afraid of russia to think there's value in supporting allies that are being invaded by russia

I’m not interested is getting into a speculative argument.

Death is permanent. The victories of war are transient. Governments come and go.
There are worse things than death.

Like russia/USSR occupying your lands and controlling you and your families lives for generations.

How would you like your children's children to be sent off as fodder in some stupid war that gains a fraction of land around the border?

Ukraine deaths serve to protect future Ukrainians from a fate worse than death

The best part is Russia's push that the west is corrupt and decadent. Ya, well all those countries you used to control seem to prefer that to w/e the hell Russia is.
