I know this might cause him to mention how he went through a DSM revision a over a decade ago but the guy strikes me as having hypomanic fits on the forums. That is on top of being completely annoying and posting in a way that makes hardly any sense a majority of the time. Sadly, I won't see his response, but I am okay with that.

I'll be interested to see what sanctions are possibly left. Let's start by kicking every Russian citizen not seeking asylum out of this country. And permitting no new visas from them.
That's an idea, I could see russias oil/gas being offered to nato at a decent price but I'm not sure that's enough usa#1 for Trump.

Yup, I've seen a lot over the years on here, but he absolutely displays some hypomanic tendencies on here regarding different topics, usually involving politics. He's also a racist, and you can't blame that on anything other than being a shitty person. Hopefully he can get all that under control someday.

I sure hope no one is aroused by that. I think the correct way of putting it is that Putin is a liar who breaks promises all of the time, he has repeatedly used fake problems / false flags as a pretext for doing what he likes, and it is a fool's errand to think he will change his stripes. I think most of us here did not want Ukraine aid to stop in the first instance, and do not want it to stop after Putin breaks more promises.
If there is no large scale drone attack from Russia to Ukraine in the next 8 hours, I'll skip lunch tomorrow.
I like it, instead of funding a war for years with the only possible end is Ukraine doing just enough to wear Russia down until they give up with major losses on both sides and big money we are probably borrowing and paying interest on without any reciprocity.
This thing has to come to some kind of end, I would have given props to Biden if he had made an effort beyond handouts to try to bring this thing to a close rather than continue to give handouts.

Dems should promise to return control to Ukraine. Openly defy any deal Trump makes. Will openly negotiate for rights, but not under duress.
The deal is going to revolve around neutrality for Ukraine.
The seizing of land is going to be the ‘price’ paid for not accepting such an arrangement when it was offered before.

If Russia was interested in any peace that is even semi acceptable to the Ukrainians it would have happened already.
If Trump learns from this, stands up to Putin and redouble his support for Ukraine and sanctions on Russia I will give him credit for learning his lesson and ultimately standing up to Putin.
My sense is that eventually he will dump Ukraine and start trading with Russia again without a ceasefire or peace deal.
It isn't about learning about how to negotiate, I'll spare you the joke about him being the guy who wrote the book. It's about making putin play out his hand.
We are going to end that war. That's what Trump is saying.
It's not ending the war that is the issue, it's what the result ultimately becomes.
He can end the war by letting Russia conquer and occupy all of Ukraine. He could end the war by nuking Kiev.
The only acceptable ending is one which gives Ukraine hard security guarantees. Anything less than that is simply a period of time for Russia to rebuild and modernize it's military for another go in 5 years time.
We all want the war to end. But we want to end it in a way that preserves Ukrainian independence in the long term.
Agree. The amount of money the U.S. has already spent causes me pause as well. Being 1/2 in never works. Can’t fully commit to defeating the enemy. It will continue to be a money dump with many more lives lost.
It gonna be interesting how this plays out.
Hopefully Zelensky goes into full fluff mode, praises Trump for the cease fire. Says he should win the Nobel peace prize etc.
When Russia rebuffs it Trump might just be a big enough narcissist to open the weapons flood gates.
