I'm just wondering why he chose Iowa and not Oklahoma State or Ohio State. They seem to be closer to beating PSU than Iowa recently. Caels probably not as smart as we all give him credit for...

he doesn't need to sit - was a verbal commitment. Gable said it best on Friday night - "I don't know if wrestling is fun....." um sorry coach but your philosophy and "Brand" is outdated. There's a new sheriff in town and has proven you can train like animals AND have fun along the way. There are still elite "Iowa-Style" kids but fewer and you now have competition from all over the country.

Wonder how much wrestlers can get paid for working camps?...I'd imagine there is a limit on it right? I know football has restrictions on what their scholarship athletes can get paid or not get paid for jobs and what not. However, in wrestling wrestlers not under scholarship might have ZERO restrictions?

This is what I think their lower weights will look like. I don't think anyone sits for more than a year. He will definitely fit in their lineup. Joey Silva would be my first choice of replacements. Several other good guys out there but they would all be significant step back, IMO
Nope. The fun stuff is literally the key to the whole thing. Believe it or not,18 year old kids don't want to be miserable for 5 prime years of their lives. They come to psu, see they can get great grades in hard majors with the #1 alumni network in America, and be apart of a wrestling team that cares about each other and can balance the needed grind of the sport with what sports should be all about which is enjoyment. Wrestling is fun. It's supposed to be fun. If it wasn't supposed to be fun people wouldn't have started doing it thousands of years ago.

ball till NCAA TIME Have no injuries worries then. Well the time will come if that is what they want Penn State best better do lots of following on road meets all the time cause the cost of stuff today is going to keep going up and many fans will not go to see there team just get blasted.

It is unfortunate that you need to resort to baseless accusations. Was Iowa cheating when they dominated the sport all those years? Penn State is the top dog right now and dominant teams attract dominant wrestlers. Winning is fun. Testing yourself in practice against other superior wrestlers is fun. I've respected Iowa wrestling for 30 years but these absurd accusations by some Iowa fans are regrettable.
Glad you came to that realization. I hope you also realize that it is time for you to go away then.
