How does this team constantly come out uninspired on the road? You guys don’t want to admit it but that’s on Fran

We won at ISU, Syracuse, and NW. Neutral court against TT, and led SDSU by double digits in the first half. We were down by 1 at PSU at half, 7 to Nebraska, and 4 to Maryland. I fear you don't understand what "constantly" means.

Purdue is nigh invincible at Mackey. Duke and Gonzaga would have lost by double digits the way the Boilers were shooting.

That was a perfect storm game. Purdue is not a good shooting team and they couldn't miss. These games happen. Hopefully, that's the one and only of the year.

They weren’t uninspired. They just got crushed by an opponent who could do no wrong. Remember they practice and train and watch film and game plan, too. I was encouraged by how the guys pretty much never dropped their heads or pointed fingers. They were positive with one another the whole time, trying to compete. Hell, they kept rooting for their teammates even at the very end, glad to see Evelyn finally get one to go and then Austin draining a three.

I have my yearly beefs with Fran’s program, but this team shows up. Sometimes the other team just has a night.

If you can stomach it watch the game again, and pay close attention to intangible stuff, how the guys treat each other, how hard they play. There was a play that I thought Evelyn sort of quit on, and Weez had a pair of possessions that looked bad—but I think Weez was exhausted.

CJ, Luka, Ryan, Connor, Joe T, Weez—you really think those guys don’t come to compete every time they play?

Purdue absolutely needed this game and played out of their minds. We did not get on the boards early and the thing snowballed. Could have happened to any team, just seems to happen to us more often.

I would agree they seem to start most games a little flat but that usually has been on the offensive side(except for Garza). But if i was on the team and had to be on the floor during that disaster last night, i think I would get pretty uninspired pretty fast. Steph and Klay couldn't have helped much last night.
