Finally got in touch with 2017 big man Theo John, who Iowa recently offered. Fran got a good long look at John last month at the Elite 100 Camp, where he was a teammate of Connor McCaffery.
John said Fran called him after the camp and offered. Said he really liked the way he plays and talked to him about his strengths and weaknesses and how he would fit into the Iowa program.
He said Connor has been texting him a bit as well. He really liked playing with Connor because he distributes the ball well and he shoots it well too. No visits planned anywhere yet, but plans to make some visits this fall.
John has offers from Iowa, Illinois, Minnesota, Marquette, Nebraska, and Texas Tech. He's playing with Howard Pulley 16's in July.
