Updated Vacation Destination Thread

It's the middle of winter and thoughts turn to vacations in warm spots next year. Personally thinking about a short 3 or 4 night trip in June to an all-exclusive type place within a few hour flight. What has been recent experience with the Bahamas, Turks and Caicos, etc? We did Tulum last year and enjoyed it, but that's a longer travel day. @3boysmom what's hot and what's not? You've provided great insight to this board in the past on this topic.

Went to Cap Cana, Dominican Republic (Sanctuary Spa). About a 3 hour flight from Atlanta. The beach was meh as it was around the time of the seaweed issue. Amazing golf course

We are in Chile right now. High of 88 and sunny every day. Great weather and great country.

Hope you were with someone you didn’t like and could outrun.

Ha. It was with a group of 7 total including the guide. There were a few times we needed to group together and stand really tall and wide in order to make ourselves look bigger to the close bear.

All the guide had was flares. If needed would lite it and wave in front of bear. They cannot cary any firearms in NP.

My wife was 4 months pregnant so she stayed back and did a mini spa day.

Going to attempt the drive to DSM tomorrow and stay at SIL for a 6am flight to St. Maarten…..

American will fly from DFW, CLT, and MIA. Delta from ATL. And Jet Blue from I think JFk. It’s supposed to open March 28. I was thinking February but looks like as of now it’s March 28. At least from the US.
