While there's always a need for studs at Iowa, there's not a huge need for White (and sounds like feeling may be mutual anyway). If you had to create a scenario in which it made sense, it would be Kemerer at 149, White at 157, and Marinelli at 165. That's AFTER Sorensen graduates in 2018, so either White or Kemerer would have to sit for a season. Okay--it's a scenario.
Higher priority is sorting out the question marks at 174, 184, and 197: no one knows how Burke, Young, Wilcke and Holloway are going to pan out--hopefully you have 3 NCAA champs there, but they're not ranked that way right now. Stating the obvious, that's why it would've been nice to have a top-5 guy like Hall or Valencia anchoring the upper lineup. Do we try to get Colbray? Do we try to get another mid-tier guy like Keegan Moore, Frankrone, Grello, or Gentile? Do we wait a year, see where the need is, and target that weight specifically?
And despite the influx of new talent at 125-141, I'd never say that getting Lee isn't a priority.
