You can't handle the truth. Inflation has slightly lagged energy prices for the past 3 years. Do you think that's a coincidence? Inflation has also leveled out more quickly since the debt ceiling / spending cap agreement. Do you think that's a coincidence?

MEthinks the Fed raising interest rates had far more to do with slowing inflation than any energy policy changes. There is probably a 6 month lag in rate hikes and inflation affect. The past couple of tax cuts, artificially low interest rates and Covid are the primary causes for the last slow-down. We have allowed our infrastructure to age, we have become dependent on others for our supply needs and not tended to our needs at ome…..then got caugt with out collective pants down.

Inflation was caused by the increase in money supply. Disinflation is the result of a contraction in the money supply. Unfortunately, the money supply increased last month. If the money supply grows too quickly from here, then re-inflation will be the result.
