Hey I've called some MSNBC folks before. Again whataboutism.
LOL! have you ever watched MSNBC?
LOL! have you ever watched MSNBC?
it's certainly not all that they do, but it's some of it. it is a soft power agency. and some of the things aren't really cia related, but are more about protecting us security rather than 'charity' in the strictest sense - like keeping weird african diseases in africa, and pepfar. There are so many examples of how they are using these NGOs created by our political overlords to do covert operations that the CIA use to do. I wonder how Russia got the idea for these bot farms??

I’ve said in a couple threads that I don’t agree with how Trump is going about his fast and furious ways and using Elon.Bullshit. NOW there is no oversight with the firing of the IGs.
You are better than this.
Rogan was bringing this up before Trump took office again.
So do you think we should use USAID for these covert operations with our tax money through these NGOs? Simple yes or no answer
You're of the opinion that the US should conduct no covert policy at all?
I’ve been to the Philippines multiple times when it was considered a 3rd world. I’ve lived the 3rd world life multiple times and it shaped my mind as a kid. You keep assuming things about me and what I supportI don't know. Trump seems to think quid pro quo is on spot for a corrupt NYC mayor. That okay? Simple yes or no answer.
And to answer your question: yes. I truly think you need to get out of your cave and visit some 3rd world countries.
LOL...no. As Patrick Leahy said in 2014...it was "dumb, dumb, dumb" and has absolutely ZERO relevance TODAY except as an apologist's defense of Trump. So wear that badge with pride and stop pretending.Rogan was bringing this up before Trump took office again.

And no, I think Eric Adams is a crook. Idk how many time I have to say I do not support Trump at all because he is a rat. A literal mobster boss as president
Jimmy. He’s not talking about actual aid. This whole thread is about the covert ops being funded through USAID. Is is possible to have a conversation that aid such as food, medicine, housing, vaccines is good through USAID but covert ops is bad? And to actually say this regardless which political party is in power or has used USAID for cover ops in the past?Go to Africa, Middle East. Some place that is relying on us for food, vaccines, medicine, housing etc.
I’m taking this as that you are on the side of the Washington Elites and Oligarchs. Since it isnt your side discovering this massive operation by them you are bringing up every excuse in the book to not care about it and Trump!!!! PatheticLOL...no. As Patrick Leahy said in 2014...it was "dumb, dumb, dumb" and has absolutely ZERO relevance TODAY except as an apologist's defense of Trump. So wear that badge with pride and stop pretending.
Rogan has had mike benz on before talking about this exact topic before trump was in office. Ive been aware of Mike's work for years. The only reason USAID is in the news...the ONLY reason Rogan is even mentioning it, is Trump. The only reason you're posting it here, is Trump. And the ONLY reason Trump "used it" in his first term is there were still Republicans with some shred of character left who had the moral backbone to oppose him. What Trump wanted to do in his first term, he is doing now...and here you are backing his play. Don't pretend otherwise. And if you DON'T see it...well...open your eyes man.
And that bit about "zero oversight"...that's the dumbest thing you posted in this thread.
Was the Philippines not poor enough back then?Go to Africa, Middle East. Some place that is relying on us for food, vaccines, medicine, housing etc.
They try to corner people into this Trump talking point and disregard everything that is said. It’s a wild exercise but @Greenway4Prez good call lolJimmy. He’s not talking about actual aid. You’re going to “take it” any way that makes you feel better about carrying Trump’s water. You’re the one defending giving billionaires unfettered and unsupervised access and control over the govt so you’re either a poor liar or you haveI’m taking this as that you are on the side of the Washington Elites and Oligarchs. Since it isnt your side discovering this massive operation by them you are bringing up every excuse in the book to not care about it and Trump!!!! Pathetic
USAID shouldn’t be involved in anything like that. It has to be done within guidelines but the organization that is the face of the United States in terms of providing humanitarian assistance to the neediest parts of the world should be completely off limits. Period. Is this really a surprise to anyone? Do people need Joe Rogan to tell them that the U.S. might have covert operations around the world and might hide some of the funding in humanitarian aid? That we use these NGOs to project US influence into various parts of the world? Agree or not, how is this a new revelation to anyone?
The right seems to discover “new” things every week, when a little common sense would do.
So far you’ve shit on the source, admitted that you are ok with the U.S. funding covert ops through USAID to justifying it by saying everyone knows this happens. Are you dizzy yet?Is this really a surprise to anyone? Didn’t say I’m “ok with it.” I’m just not surprised. Not sure why anyone would be surprised. So far you’ve shit on the source, admitted that you are ok with the U.S. funding covert ops through USAID to justifying it by saying everyone knows this happens. Are you dizzy yet?
Just out of curiosity, would an attempt to provide open access to the internet in countries where the govt tightly controls same be regarded as humanitarian? Sincerely curious as to your thoughts on that.So far you’ve shit on the source, admitted that you are ok with the U.S. funding covert ops through USAID to justifying it by saying everyone knows this happens. Yeah, hopefully they post some links to show me I’m wrong. But right now there is so many examples coming out on this USAID stuff it is hard to ignore.
Rogan and his ilk are what Faux and AM radio were to a generation or 2 before him. Absolute trash. Half truths and gaslighting
Reading you post about half truths was a good laugh. Thank you.Rogan and his ilk are what Faux and AM radio were to a generation or 2 before him. Absolute trash. Half truths and gaslighting
Well, you did answer yes to Bruno’s question.Didn’t say I’m “ok with it.” I’m just not surprised. Not sure why anyone would be surprised.

“This “massive operation” ended in 2012”—-no it hasn’t. Plenty of examples annd info out there it has been going on up until the present. You’re going to “take it” any way that makes you feel better about carrying Trump’s water. You’re the one defending giving billionaires unfettered and unsupervised access and control over the govt so you’re either a poor liar or you have
NO.
FVCKING.
IDEA.
what “elites and oligarchs” means. This “massive operation” ended in 2012 and was roundly criticized from both sides of the aisle. I condemn it now. Happy? Does it justify ending ALL the work that USAID does by presidential fiat? Does Trump have the power to subvert any and all congressionally authorized spending with the stroke of a pen? Simple question. Simple yes or no answer. Will you answer that simple question?
You bring it up now to defend Trump completely trashing our govt. it’s pathetic and totally transparent.
100% agree on that first paragraph. Thank you for finally agreeing with me haha. That is the point of this thread. We should all be against it.USAID shouldn’t be involved in anything like that. It has to be done within guidelines but the organization that is the face of the United States in terms of providing humanitarian assistance to the neediest parts of the world should be completely off limits. Period.
That said, this is manufactured poutrage to justify ending all aid to brown people. They aren’t targeting whatever “bad things” USAID may have been involved in - they want to end the spending on everything.
All of our history traces back to Africa, the oldest civilizations on earth are in..... Africa and the "middle east"... why is it they are so far behind everybody else when they had such a head start?Go to Africa, Middle East. Some place that is relying on us for food, vaccines, medicine, housing etc.
I went there in the late 90s and early 2000s. Lived in an area for a month each with no running or hot water. As 3rd world as you can get.You are barking up the wrong tree if you want to compare Phillipines to the places I listed.
I do not agree with US tax dollars going to any country to provide open access to the internet. No, I do not regard this as humanitarian aid.Just out of curiosity, would an attempt to provide open access to the internet in countries where the govt tightly controls same be regarded as humanitarian? Sincerely curious as to your thoughts on that.
Increasingly, one wonders whether the best way to end dependence on food aid is to end dependence on food aid.All of our history traces back to Africa, the oldest civilizations on earth are in..... Think of Oceania and where it will be in 200 years, the americas, Europe..... think we might see some changes? Think Africa and the middle east match that or do you think they will maintain draconian?
I pooped in a whole and flushed it with water brought by a pump and flushed it with using a pan to pour water down the holeYou are barking up the wrong tree if you want to compare Phillipines to the places I listed.
There is a sign in Yellowstone national park that says "please do not feed the bears, they will forget how to feed themselves".Increasingly, one wonders whether the best way to end dependence on food aid is to end dependence on food aid.
I hope the Dems continue to dismiss a Rogan type podcaster…as they are very influential in this country. How dumb are you. Let me re-phrase, that was rude. Do you not realize that this has been going on since the start of modern civilization.
That being said, I can't think of any legitimate intellect that would go on Rogan's show. He is a POS that young men like. That is it.
Why not?I do not agree with US tax dollars going to any country to provide open access to the internet.
1. I would prefer those tax dollars help US citizens here at home. Why not?
Got it, I wasn't sure it was just about the money.1. I would prefer those tax dollars help US citizens here at home.
2. We can’t afford it.
US isolationism has never ended well. But I'm sure THIS time will be different. And while we divorce ourselves from certain world events and long-time allies, we actively support an illegal invasion and land grab by one of the most repressive dictators in the world. But I'm sure he'll stop wherever we "negotiate" our capitulation.1. I would prefer those tax dollars help US citizens here at home.
2. We can’t afford it.
