Valentine says Carver was the best crowd he played in front of

I wonder if part of it is if Carver isn't mike'd well for TV. I go to 3 or 4 games a year and it always sounds great live but feels like a morgue when watching from home.

I was at Indiana game...crowd was proactive, loud, enthusiastic etc...but when I watched the replay it certainly didn't seem as loud etc...

This is not going to go over well with all the sit at home and watch on TV compainers!

I watched it last night and tend to agree - at least during that run in the 2nd half, it was as loud in there as I have heard it in a very, very long time. Maybe we just didn't have our TVs turned up loud enough.

Not in Iowa so I don't make many games, and have experience watching most on TV: The game (and in particular the second half) was as loud as I've heard Carver on TV in some time.

The crowd actually shut Dakich up for a possession when Baer made his second three. (TBD whether that's actually because of the noise or because Dakich was butthurt)

I was there and it was loud especially during that big run. It was the most exciting game of the year with a close second being the opener with MSU.

There's just an a buzz you get in an atmosphere like that in a game like that you cannot duplicate know matter how good your TV is.

I also wonder at times if the TV broadcasts do not pick up the noise as well in Carver due to its design? All I know is it was loud and people were going crazy. I can still feel that energy days later when Baer buried that 3 ball and the roof came off.

Fun stuff even in a loss.
