I have not seen it, but, I will watch it because of the amount of pressure placed on Deniro et al to pull it from the film festival. What do they not want everyone to know that will impede their bottom line?
Nothing wrong with dissent. It just better be backed up by real science and not bullshit. This film uses bullshit and fear mongering. I know this because all of the research that has been done on this flies in the face of what that documentary is trying to say.
Big Pharma has gone to great lengths in preventing further discussion of any possible connection and has smeared anyone who attempts to do so. It's not always about science.

And you cited science as the reason why. There are no double-blind placebo-controlled studies to back them up.
The difference is the science said smoking was deadly and the companies own "research" flew in the face of the actual science. In the case of vaccines, it's the exact opposite. The claims made by anti-vaxxers flies in the face of the actual scientific data. Sorry the science doesn't agree with your conspiracy theories and anger at Big Pharma.
It's sad too because there is a lot to be angry at Big Pharma about, but this isn't one of them. It is a useful way to keep you from focusing on what they are actually doing, and that is gaming the system so they can charge you 10 times what their drugs cost in other countries by sealing up no-bid contracts and other policies that allow them to charge whatever they want for their drugs. Big Pharma is a big part of the reason health care in the United States is so overpriced.

You type as if there's not "science" on both sides of the issue. This isn't an outlet for the anger for Big Pharma, whether you choose to believe it or not there actually is reason and substance behind the concerns.
Every major research org receives its funding from Big Pharma. I vaccinate my children. Even Dr. Andrew Wakefield vaccinates his children. The problem arose when he (Wakefield) dared to suggest that further study be given past the 3-6 week safety studies.
Crowe's character in the movie was being shot at in his home. That's the extent companies will go to keeping the money stream flowing.
It's in my Netflix queue, but I decided to watch Loose Change while repeatedly hitting myself in the head with a tack hammer.
Big Pharma, a huge advertiser to the MSM, has even threatened to pull precious ad dollars when the FACT was brought up that nearly every mass shooter in this country was under SSRI drugs. Can't let that get out.

Whether this is true or not, you have to factor in the reasons SSRI's might be prescribed in the first place. It wouldn't shock me if it were true but not because I think doctors/pharm companies are being dishonest about the risks with SSRI's.
Google Dr. Peter Breggin. He has testified before the VA Committee. Chemical imbalances in the brain is complete BS. It all originated from Eli Lilly in Germany.

The content of this thread so far is completely unexpected. About a year ago I started a vaccine thread where I contended that parents should have the right to choose whether or not vaccines should be given to their children and posters were downright nasty in that thread. I don't think there's been a vaccine thread since, probably because people wanted to avoid the subject after seeing that thread. I'll admit though I haven't been able to follow HROT enough to say for sure. You guys remember, right? The tone in this thread has changed considerably, is that because people are finally waking up?

Yeah diseases like chicken pox and the flu are just terrible. How long do vaccines generally last? 2, 6, 10 years at most? With vast numbers of adults not keeping up with them? Are adults pushed to keep up on their schedule? No. Heck some vaccines don't even work for some people/kids when they're first administered. Vast numbers of people then have either lost their immunity, or never had it in the first place. Then does herd immunity even make sense?

Big Pharma has had little say in vaccination schedules or vaccine use. Scientists and doctors are the ones who generate those standards; and practically ALL pediatricians put their kids on routine vaccine schedules. If I'm concerned about "Big Pharma's" or "Big Government's" take on the issue, I consider it a fairly smart approach to follow what the actual doctors do with their own kids.....and what they recommend on their societies' websites....not what some Youtube video, or Schlockumentary wants to claim I should do....
They make little money of the ailments anymore, because most of the diseases they prevent don't exist in Western medicine. But the cost/benefit ratio for vaccines is pretty much in the stratosphere....very little else in modern society has that level of benefit, for such a small cost.
