Anyone else surprised he didn't get in to the game at all Saturday? Daniels needs to sit until he is healthy as you can tell he isn't close to 100%. Think you got to get Wadley some time in there and give JC a break and keep him fresh.

I know he has had fumble issues but they are going to need someone to compliment JC.

No..not surprised. Close game where another fumble could have lost the game for us and killed his confidence. Coaches need to continue to put him in situations where he succeeds until both coaches and Akrum have complete confidence. Let's blow out Illinois and we can see him in the 4th quarter again.

I get your point but think Canzeri has had his own fumble issues. 4th qt, at ISU inside the 10 in a tie game. Fumbled Saturday also at our 20; we just got lucky and recovered. Think he needs a break.

Wadley HAS to play. Daniels needs to sit with Smith until 100%. JC cannot shoulder the load. When JC eclipses 20 carries he fumbles, see all of the other games where he has this season and there is a fumble. So, JC fumbles nearly as much as Wadley, well not quite, but enough where they have to give Wadley a chance. Daniels is horrible right now and does nothing for us. Play Wadley or pretty soon he won't have anyone left BUT Wadley with JC banged up. So, KF would you rather give Wadley 10 carries now or 25 later when JC is out? This isn't that difficult.

Canzeri has his own fumble issues that he needs to get figured out. They need to something different with how they are coaching them because I find it odd both Canzeri and Wadley fumble so much.

Wadley should probably play some, but not late in the game.

Canzeri also should not be expected to have 25+ carries. He's just not built to take that kind of abuse and that's generally where his fumble issues arise.

Good point about Canzeri's fumbles. It does seem that just about all of them have happened late in games, above the 20-carry point. Probably not a stretch to suspect that fatigue is a major factor in Jordan's fumbles.

Like many, hoping the Hawks get out to a big lead and can get Wadley involved in the second half on Saturday.

This is a question I would ask KF on a call in show , BUT probably wouldn't answer it to our liking

Wadley definitely needs to get some carries. JC needs some breaks and like others said has his own fumbling problems himself. Daniels does need to set until he's 100%, he is God awful right now.

Yes Daniels needs to get healthy. He might be our best runner for this offense when he is healthy and hitting the hole hard.

I'm surprised in the sense that it seems so obvious that Canzeri needs relief. But not surprised in that Kirk loves doing this kind of stuff with personnel. Must be something he learned from Big Bill Patriot. Except Canzeri also fumbles . . .

Why would Wadley's fumbles keep him on the bench, but we feed Canzeri the ball well north of 20 times a game, ignoring his late-game fumbles? And we throw an obviously hobbled Daniels in to "spell" him. In the age of New Kirk, this smells like the old one. Give the boy the ball!

My opinion is worth nothing, of course....but if Iowa is going to win the west, Wadley (or someone other than Canzeri and Daniels) will be needed to make some impact at RB.

Pretty sure JP moved to receiver this spring. Wadley will get spot duty the next two weeks I think. Maybe 5 carries but 10 max unless it's a real rout. They know last week's offense will not cut it going forward.

This... Canzeri has good ball security until he gets worn out (as is the case with a lot of backs). We need to find another RB or two to spell Canzeri.

As of now, Daniels "spelling" Canzeri, looks to be wasted offensive plays.
Bring Daniels in, but pass the ball, it was joke Saturday, in a tough game.
Guessing these numbers, I'll take a 100% Wadley, over a 75% Daniels.
Is Wadley nicked up also? I don't know. I don't see how as little as Wadley's played.
The fumble issue has been brought up, hell CJB fumbled, bench him!
Come on KF, give Canzeri AND Wadley a break.

I like Wadley but I wouldn't play him as a coach at any meaningful time. Unfortunately it looks like Daniels is the best choice right now. Pretty sad because if Wadley could protect the ball he'd probably be playing right now. I said probably because you never know with KF and personel decisions.

To be fair, a lot of the lack of offensive production last Saturday had to do with 1) Wisconsin having an excellent defense, 2) Wisconsin's outstanding DE playing out of his mind, 3) our starting LT being out, and 4) the wind. Yes, we'll play some good defenses the rest of the way, but I don't think we'll see a better one than Wisconsin's. I think the O will be rolling this Saturday, and I think it will be quite productive the rest of the way, on the whole. Not saying I wouldn't like to see Wadley get some carries or some other innovations on offense. I just don't expect to see our offense sputter again this season like it did last Saturday, as the conditions on Saturday aren't likely to be repeated. That said, NW's D will be a real test.
