No theory? You mean why wouldn’t Putin off the popular Nobel Prize winning editor whose friends with Gorbachev whose journalists keep getting “mysteriously” murdered? Gee, why could that be? 🙄

Gee, then why doesn't the murderous totalitarian who has (according to you) made a habit out of murdering journalists, just simply murder another one who is a pain in his side? An act which, for a murderous totalitarian who wields absolute authority over everyone in his country, would be about as troublesome as squishing an ant with his boot?

And why would this evil man, hellbent on world domination, allow an American news crew to follow this pesky journalist around for months, filming what amounts to be an anti-Putin propaganda piece??

Just answer the question: If Putin is a ruthless, cold-blooded dictator why doesn't he simply have Muratov murdered? If it's as easy as tossing a cigarette butt out the window what's stopping him? It's not like he has to worry about being caught, right? And why did Putin allow an American film crew to follow Muratov around for months - filming anti-Putin propaganda, no less - instead of just eliminating the problem?

The narrative you've been fed - and the one you're mindlessly repeating - doesn't seem to match Putin's behavior.

I watched to the bitter end. Still no response on why Putin's thugs sent death threats - written in English - to their fellow Russian speaking comrades. Or why Putin allowed an American film crew to follow Muratov around for MONTHS while they made their anti-Putin documentary. Make it make sense.
