WBB Transfer Portal Targets 2025-2026

UCLA has two, Lena Bilić has also signed with them and has been playing professionally in Europe for the last three years.
3rd on the team in assists so must be an off guard.
She's a PG. Being a freshman backing up Rice, 3rd in assists seems solid.
Replying to Chesapeake's question re: Iyana Moore out of Vandy. Aarnisalo from UCLA definitely a PG; started some games when Rice injured. 2nd in assists for Bruins behind Kiki.
Apparently UConn is the favorite to land Kayleigh Heckel at the moment.
With that in mind, Aarnisalo is probably my favorite realistic portal option left. Experience playing in the Big Ten against good opposition. Solid assist-turnover numbers. Looks like she can get to the basket some. If she can improve her three-point shooting she could be a really solid addition.
I especially like that Iowa wouldn't have to use NIL or rev-share funds to add her. It keeps extra money available for the 2026 targets.

No comparison as a college town to IC imo.
Ya I like tonie Morgan out of georgia tech better. But this girl is interesting. I watched at least 6 ucla games this season and idk why but I don't remember her at all.
Surprised Sarah Williams is still out their.
Not even a Final Four appearance keeps them. We're not living in Kansas anymore.

I bet you remember Olsen "tripped" Aarnisalo, and she made both free throws to win the game for UCLA.
I just can't get past the 25% three-point percentage with Morgan. I know Aarnisalo's isn't that much better right now, but I have more confidence that a freshman can improve her shooting than a senior.
A lineup with Morgan, Feuerbach, and Stuelke together would essentially have just one good shooter (Deal or McCabe) on the floor. Opposing defenses would just camp in the paint.
Feuerbach wasn't that bad. I would expect her to work on the 3 this offseason
But u definitely bring up a good point though.
That would be a good year. I know some people that left AZ for summer in Seattle - rained something like 70 or 80 days in a row. LOL
Here's her three-point percentage by year:
2020-21: 27.1%
2021-22: 30.6%
2023-24: 29.6%
2024-25: 29.9%
She's been remarkably consistent. I'm just not sure there's much growth left.
I think Feuerbach is fine as the third or fourth best shooting option on the floor. If she's the second best shooting option, I'd be concerned.

Yes it(Seattle) is literally a SH now. Used to be a great city.
Interesting that some players declare and then very quickly pick a place to go! Amazing how that goes! This has not happened to our program yet. Until it does, I will enjoy a sense of pride in the integrity of our program. If, or when it does, I hope the quality of the player will override the loss of the aforementioned pride!

To clear up any confusion from yesterday...she is commanding 500k+ in the portal (that is different than her demanding it, as some thought).
She was not asking for that much, although the bidding has been around there.
I have that number from two independent sources FWIW.
Pretty expensive sophmore to be and a non-starter.
Jan is not going to win that race and nor should she.
I loved living in Seattle.

She doesn't have much for major bugs except her scoring efficiency of 1.074 which drops her down the most.
Where Zeigler picks up some of those lost points against Weimar is the assist's categories.

When a bench player like Heckel is getting $500,000 offers, there is really no more reason for any player not to declare free agency every season. Find out what the rate is, ask for what you are worth above that.
Buy a championship. It's all there to take if that's what you want. Every player has a price they can be bought at.

Having a player like Fulwiley come to Iowa and be exceptional would be the best PR for Iowa WBB possible (other than CC/winning a championship). I'd argue bigger than landing the number 1 recruit in the country. Never gonna happen, but a Hawk can wish.
