WBB Transfer Portal Targets 2025-2026

Finally watched some videos of Aarnisalo, really impressed. Anyone can compile a string of made 3's on film, but hard to show you taking it to the rack with ease vs South Carolina. When's the last time you saw a pass like this? I can tell you, the last time you watched CC play.

Anyone else hearing that Trilly's paywall discord channel put out a more smoke comment between Elina and Iowa?

No info on what this smoke entails. However, it would lead me to believe it's something beyond follows on these social channels. Maybe he's talking about the rumored visit?

Seen it on one board and it was hinted at by another that maybe the smoke came from Trilly.

Yeah, that's where it was rumored that she is already in Iowa for a visit but they couldn't confirm it

I don't know if there's any interest but she would be a great addition

Re: Oluchi Okananwa

Believe she's playing SG/Wing positions. Taina Mair is starting PG and Vanessa de Jesus is a backup PG for Duke. Don't know if she was a PG at one time in HS. However, Iowa was looking at Shannon Dowell and she is definitely not a PG. So maybe there is a possibility we look at her.

Oluchi now rates out at #6 replacing my new #6 just a few hours ago in MiLaysia Fulwiley.

Article Title: Duke women's basketball 2023-24 player preview: Oluchi Okananwa

"Okananwa switched positions in the middle of her high school career, making her an impressive and effective hybrid guard/wing."

"Role on the team: On a young team, with four freshmen, Okananwa has the potential to shine in her first year at Duke. However, the starting point guard position is likely to go to Taina Mair, the sophomore Boston College transfer.

With all due respect to the cyberstalkers on this forum. This current transfer portal edition has proven that who follows who on social media isn't worth jack sh*t. All that is relevant is actual communication between the target and the coaches.

False. This board is like a de facto, modern-day Oracle, very similar to the ones in Greek legends. But, far, far more accurate and way less forgiving. Recruits, coaches, and donors all across the lands come here to hear our prophecies as we communicate the word, straight from the hand of the basketball gods to your eyes, Texas Deputy Dude.

In addition to the mutual interest with Aarnisalo, Iowa is rumored to have made an aggressive play to get Heckel.
If that is true and they'd take both I'd guess they aren't optimistic on Lewis with both being Sophomores. I don't see us getting both...and definitely not a recruiting expert but seems a longshot to get a HS recruit if they both came even if I'd be happy getting those two for sure.

Lewis is a nice player, but not the end of the world if she doesn't come to Iowa. She must play better in AAU tourneys than she does in high school games. Don't get me wrong, she's skilled, but you'd think a top 20 recruit would be unstoppable vs Iowa high school competition.

With the portal now, you cannot be worried about how bringing in transfers will impact high school recruiting. I know Iowa wants players to stay for four years, but if you’re not trying to improve the roster at all times, then you’re not doing a good job at a coach.

Great players want to play with great players. Iowa likes to play fast with three or four guards on the floor at the same time. I don’t see bringing in top 20 talent as sophomores will drive away 2026 recruits. Not challenging for championships will.

Are you high? Her team won the state championship and is ranked tenth in the country. How much more unstoppable do you want her to be?
