Welp. Minnesota lost to a team that just gave up 53 points to James Madison in the FIRST HALF

My hope is that Minnesota gives up more than 53 yards in the first half tonight, but I won’t hold my breath.
JM’s AD sure knows how to pick a FB HC. The guy who built the program from the ground up apparently has Indiana turned around in one season, and the guy they have now that came from Holy Cross looks like he’s not missing a beat.
mine is equally modest in hoping that the iowa defense doesn't give up 53 yards in the minute before halftime or end of game.
last year i would've enjoyed that but this year so far punting isn't winning
UNC was #22 in team defense going into this game. They gave up more passing yards in the first half, than they've been giving up total yards/game so far.
Oh, I think it means something all right. Giving up 53 points in ONE HALF is definitely worthy of note. That the team who did so eked out a win over Minnesota earlier also is worthy of note. And that the team that beat Minnesota gave up the 53 points not to Georgia, not to Alabama, not to Ohio State but to JAMES MADISON is certainly worthy of note.
The meaning for tonight's game would seem to be this: If Iowa can't beat Minnesota, and score a ton of points in the process, it could be a very long season.

I would have went with 27/28, but I didn't want to get to get far-fetchedly crazy.
They were FCS just a couple of years ago. That’s what’s really crazy.
I hope Minnesota shows to be a weak team today. Wouldn't bode well for the Hawks to lose or have a close game (but would still gladly take any win, of course) to a "weak" team.
Damn I wish the Hawk game start time and this USC/Michigan - or more like the Miami(OH)/ND game, since their on NBC also - was switched around.
Wasn’t there a big hullabaloo their initial FBS season regarding bowl eligibility? They were doing so well year one, but the rules stipulated they were Bowl ineligible in year one, or something like that.
