not a big fan but other fast foods places run specials during certain hours so it’s not that different I guess
Hahaha, sureI’m gonna do what I typically do….not eat fast food
Seems like a dangerous game with a relatively fungible product. Airlines get away with it because of scarcity and relatively inelastic demand. There are plenty of replacements for Wendy’s, however. This will only work if like you say the prices go down during periods of non-peak demand. That is the dumbest idea ever, unless they’re only going to lower prices occasionally or offer deals on the spot.
But if they raise prices when it’s crowded it will backfire.
No doubt. Only time I ever get fast food is when I'm on the road or on the rare occasion after a long night of drinking. If I'm on the road and I know this is a thing and I see Wendy's is a little busy I'm going to stop somewhere else and pay less. Seems stupid to meThat is the dumbest idea ever, unless they’re only going to lower prices occasionally or offer deals on the spot.

They could probably just raise their prices near to that of Arby's or chick fil-a near peak times and stay competitive.I'm not sure how making your product more expensive than your competition at certain times of day is going to help their sales but good luck to them I guess.
There will be unreadable asterisks. I saw one of those “top 10” reels that says Wendy’s is the most expensive fast food burger place.Quite the scam plot there. Wonder if they'll get sued for advertising stuff like the umpteen $5 biggie bag commercials I've seen and its $7 during busy lunchtime.
does she change her pricing during peak hours?Disappointed thread is not about @Wendy79
Agreed. I don't know enough about the market to predict how it will affect them but you have to figure they did some research on this before they went ahead with it. I rarely eat at Wendy's anyway. Although it has improved lately the Wendy's near me had the worst service. Being super slow and never getting the order right isn't a good way to keep customers coming back. They could probably just raise their prices near to that of Arby's or chick fil-a near peak times and stay competitive.
They could also change them within the dollar and it would not be noticeable to most. i.e 5.25-5.75...
I'm not advocating for it, but I think they could do it tactfully and make it a lot less noticeable.
Single digit growth is still celebrated in large, established companies, it might be worth the gamble, and I'd be willing to bet they tested this in 10-20 stores already.Somebody in their marketing department is trying too hard.
Just fire them.
I generally have chickpeas with light ranch on toasted wheat bread with spinach and pepper jack cheese and a cup of greek yogurt.

I grew up eating chicken paste so I like itI’m gonna do what I typically do….not eat fast food
Congratulations?
it make a lot more sense in the transportation industry, airlines change more for peak seasons or less to fly early mornings or eveningsthanks uber and lyft
like a Happy Hour?is Applebee's going to have a cheaper weekday menu vs weekend menu?
They already got those 1/2 price apps after 9PMit make a lot more sense in the transportation industry, airlines change more for peak seasons or less to fly early mornings or evenings
but in the restaurant biz?

and the marketing department ate at those stores on off hours to pump up their story.Single digit growth is still celebrated in large, established companies, it might be worth the gamble, and I'd be willing to bet they tested this in 10-20 stores already.

I don't think anyone on this board needs to be reminded that it's possible to eat lunch without getting it from Wendys. It was just to point out that you can spend like $1.25 on your lunch and it isnt the garbage Wendy's produces.
