What’s the best tactic to attempt to get board “moderates” and MAGAs to vote democrat in the midterms and beyond?

I don’t want to be blamed for them being forced to vote for Trump and his enablers anymore. How do we go about steering them away from their OBVIOUS reality and into the left wing fake one?

Do we nicely point out Trump’s lies? Let them figure it out for themselves when everything turns to shit? 🤷🏻‍♂️

Which posters have made the move away from Trump before the election and stayed away from him afterwards. That is where the answer is.

It's amazing bringing up something like his crypto shitcoin which obviously lost some of his followers a chunk of change and matching the board MAGAs either avoid it at all costs, and the obvious trolls that stayed in that thread are just obvious trolls. That scheme was some extremely rich people stealing from their base. I don't believe it is landing completely with people because a lot of people do not understand crypto so it needs to be presented in the common tongue.

Politics like marketing is largely feelings based. That said an avenue to take is dropping clear and concise arguments that will appeal to how in reality so much of what is happening and is going to happen is not a boon for them.

You can also plant seeds. With a subject like the social safety net, especially Medicare, Medicaid, social security, or SSDI it might be good to mention that this will lead to increased senior poverty and parents having to move in with their children because of that. There is probably someone here that applies to.

That said, the people that have actually moved away from Trump on this board are fairly small in numbers. I certainly do recognize the people that have abandoned the MAGA party, and good for them. But there are also so many that acted like they were anti-trump but clearly ended up being liars. So do not waste any of your time on those clowns.

Maybe stop pretending to be smart, stop being so arrogant and condescending without having any basis for that, stop playing team politics no matter what the issue, stop trying to force people into accepting your way of thinking and living their lives, stop the insane government spending, and accepting that government isn't always the answer.

I don't know if everything will turn to shit under Trump. I'm optimistic, just as I was when Biden was elected. I'm cheering for the country, not for the man. I'm not going to cheer against Trump out of spite. I'll call Trump out when I disagree, just as I already have on birthright citizenship and pardoning J6 people who were violent.

A question down the road is how many of these voters are genuine republican voters vs Trump voters.

We have alot of evidence that what works for trump doesn’t for anyone else, at least this point.

I think things are going to go full on shit mode and the maga movement will be dead. We go into a recession or depression what the hell are they going to say?

I voted for Trump in 2016 and 2020, took a lot of shit for it too, which is fine, I am an idiot.

There are people like me out there, but not many like you said.

Gotta focus on those that didn't vote.

And have a primary.

So stop acting like you. Noted.

You get that much of this can be said about republicans also right, or the opposite at least? Trump is as condescending a man as I’ve ever seen on tv, but it doesn’t seem to matter with him.

Sometimes, government regulation/spending IS the answer (or at least the least bad option)

There's plenty of things democrats can do. Start with making the natzi hand signal the official signal of democrats. Follow it with a public hanging (of Pence or some random person of color). I could go on.

Probably not.

As one of those, just because I moved away from him does not by any means I am voting for the left’s platform

Trump is a bit of a unicorn.

At this point what I view as a Republican barely exists. I have wondered how some of the Republicans that got left behind by maga feel. That would be interesting to hear and when they decided they were out.

Biggest question is figure out why millions of 2020 Biden voters simply did not vote this time around.
Voters felt left behind by the party. Upset at increased cost-of-living, upset at how Biden administration handled Isreal. Honestly idk how big that voter bloc really is but there is at least a portion. Upset at how Harris was named heir apparent when she wasn't very popular to begin with. Republicans were very effective with their messaging to the simple-minded and democrats not so much.

When/if stuff gets bad enough the counter weights will come out. Anyway, your position current lends consent to Trump's actions.

Step 1: drop the woke/DEI stuff and focus on stuff that actually matters to the majority of Americans.

Step 2: nominate a very straight, very white male to the top of the ticket in 2028.

Dems have swung and missed twice on female candidates. Can't afford to miss again.

Too far gone, do not waste time on this one fellas.

I mean, it’s beyond obvious that woke/DEI is simply anything cultural that conservatives don’t like, and that’s an ever expanding definition.

I would say that they already have the playbook. They simply need to expand it.

For them, the more Republican voters they can incarcerate, the better. It is going to have to be in the millions though. A few hundred demonstrators going to jail instead of to the polls was a good start, but ultimately this was simply a lame and feeble effort with a lame and feeble outcome. Managing to keep them in jail through the entire election season was definitely a Yeoman's Effort, so we know they have some back-bench talent.

But they will need to find better leadership to orchestrate this effort. Someone with the backbone of Lavrenty Beria, Putin, or Sadam Husain. Schiff and Cheney are lightweights compared to that trio.

That Republican base is a cagey and clever crowd. Cheney and Schiff only thought they could fool them and ended up fooling themselves.

................................................................................

Did anyone notice that Democrats such as Newsome did not go near this issue. There he was sitting a mere 9-10 states away and his advisors failed to enunciate one single version of the Constitution under which he could have inserted himself into the ordeal.

He may have the brains of a Fannis Willis or an Alvin Bragg, but he lacks the heart and the daring of either.

I suspect inflation may be a big part of it although I still don't believe that Biden had any hand in that. Money supply started exploding in March of 2020.

Unfortunately most people have zero clue what the president can control and what they can't control.

Because they spent all their time trying to please the lgbtq community and turned off a whole lot of the older generation which made them not want to vote.

It's weird how little LGBT affects my life, but it is such a huge issue for conservatives that they bring up more often than anyone else and it isn't even close. The outrage, and the pushing of it is driven by the right.

I think for sure the movement of the R party towards trump and kind of a maga+libertarian+tea party=populist = trump is exciting. new blood out there. for dems they need a new movement. like trump but nobody can be trump. they need to say goodbye to biden and pelosi and harris. and obama. new blood. new movement. move towards liberty. they will never do it because they shifted so far left, they have really become the new socialist-communists. they need a new name and new party.
