Was up with the stall calls? I mean come on, why is there no consistency amongst refs? Some of those were a ****ing joke

As long as the refs are consistent, I have no problem throwing the stall call like Oprah giving free gifts…. Key word “consistent”.
The first stall on Real, I wasnt happy with, but otherwise I honestly didn't disagree with any other stall called on Iowa.
What I disagree with was there was none called at all on ISU. If the refs are gonna call them quick - excellent! I love that! But call them quick on both sides. Even when Iowa forced the action (first period of 174 being the shining example), the refs swallowed the whistle

The only stall calls I really had a problem with was Caliendo at 165. He was not stalling.
I don’t look at it as a bad thing for the team. Getting exposed to a hostile environment where the reffing is very one sided, or perceived to be, can only help moving forward.
wrestling defensively at times is just not stalling.
I dont think Real even knows how to stall, yet gets hit twice. How many shots did Echie take but apparently somehow the aggressor?
As Gable used to say, don't leave it in the hands of the ref. We were fortunate that we didn't lose any matches because of it.
