Interested to hear what festivities you all have planned for this weekend. Any cookouts, game watch parties at home, hanging out with family and friends tailgating? Who all is going to the game this weekend? Anyone going to get drunk and hangout at Brother's, Joe's Place, Deadwood, Club Car etc.?

As for me, I've been waiting in a walk in freezer all week after being processed at the Iowa Turkey Grower's Co-op in West Liberty. Some guy moved me into a cooler to thaw today, which can only mean it's almost gametime and I'll be marinated tomorrow before being hickory smoked at 300-325 Fahrenheit for 3 1/2 to 4 hours.

Anyone got any fun plans to get hyped for the biggest regular season game in 36 years?

There will be no celebrating before the clock reads 0:00 and the Hawkeyes have more points. Once that happens, I’m breaking out the sippin’ tequila.

Bought two tickets to the game from Iowa’s own website a few days after Indiana game. I figured it would be a huge game.

pretty pleased with myself considering it would cost me 3 times that or more today.

We will be at Big Grove eating wings and hitting on grad students

Back in my college days I had a bottle of Goose that I told my best friend we we’re going to pop after we beat PSU in 2008. Things got pretty crazy that night at the good ole college house..

Sadly due to cancer my buddy is no longer with us, nonetheless I bought a bottle of Goose tonight and I’m hoping to toast to my brother and to our beloved Hawkeyes. Go Hawks!

Ps - He loved the Hawkeye Lounge, he knew my credentials...

I love this derjohns. I love my IC friends and all the memories of the stupid shit we did together. Cheers to you and to hoping our boys make your friend proud up there. After all, In Heaven there is no Beer but nobody said anything about vodka 🍻

He’s lucky he didn’t die that night. He got trampled storming the field and had to walk all the way back to Johnson St. with one shoe.

Great memories. Cheers BATL!

The wife and I are driving down
tomorrow. Our son in Minn flies into CR in the afternoon and the other son and wife are driving in from Detroit.

We all are staying Friday and Saturday night and will have a great weekend together. A group from the old tailgate gang are meeting in the Dental Lot before the game, should be fun time.

I will be with my wife and another couple at a Van Gogh “Immersive Experience” in Philadelphia, cursing under my breath. They bought us tickets this summer, and I only mildly dreaded it. Then it got postponed to a Saturday in October.

watching at home on the big screen with my Hawkeye neighbors. Sliding door open at all times for those moments when we need to "run it off" in the back yard. Celebration bonfire planned for afterwards.

My son has always wanted to golf in the mornings of home games. We moved back to the area this summer, so we're cranking up a new tradition. Golf at Finkbine, hit our good friends amazing tailgate, head to Kinnick. Head back back for the tailgate/after party after the game.

Good thread. Love reading these. Rolling into town late morning on Saturday, grabbing a burger and a pint at Mickey's and watching some of the 11 a.m. games, then on to Kinnick.

Good call. After the ISU win, I skipped the Penn State tix and bought 2 for the title game in Indy instead. Paid a hefty price this week to be in Kinnick Saturday but glad I have those title game tix secured.

Headed over to IC with the wife to meet up with friends tailgating on melrose at 9 am till game time baby!!! Go to the game, tailgate afterwards then hit one of the local establishments for dinner and a nice bourbon to end the day before we head to our hotel in Coralville. It will be a perfect weekend regardless of the outcome of the game. Enjoy everyone.

Call in a covid super spreader scare or better yet a bomb threat to force another postponement. Be resourceful man!!

If they win tomorrow we may pull trigger on Indy tickets.

secondary markets also should get cheap with Wisky fans dumping theirs.

Doesn’t the B1G have a website where you can reserve tickets based upon if your team goes the title game and if it doesn’t then you can give up your tickets with a small loss of the cost of the tickets? I seem to remember they did so if anyone can confirm one way or the other that would be great.

I'll be in Kinnick Stadium with 69,250 of my closest friends.

See you all on the field after the victory!!

I have a good buddy and my brother who went to the '08 PSU game with me. We drank a crapton of VSOP cognac and smoked cigars until 4 am celebrating that win. I was still feeling it on Tuesday. Got my voice back on Wednesday.

Working on the yard with the game on the radio. Need to knock this stuff out tomorrow as I'll be in Iowa City next Friday and Saturday for Homecoming cheering on the Hawks while performing in the Iowa Alumni Band.

Our HS has homecoming this weekend so we will be at pictures with our Freshman and Junior at 4:15 and then 5:30. Wish the game was at 11am or 7pm.
