I plan to just step outside my backdoor and just watch the events from my backyard. I guess that I am one of the very fortunate ones in this case.

Hopefully it is clear enough to see the whole show. This will be my last chance.

And, hopefully, the rest of you can share the same opportunity in your lifetime.

Lol I got up at 6am, got sunrise photos by the Arch and GTFO of St Louis. Still hit about 2 minutes of traffic in East St Louis. Google maps trying to send me back that way after eclipse. Ain't no effin way. Champaign here I come

This guy puts out an update every evening after looking at the models. Seems to think SE Missouri, S Illinois, SW Indiana are the best spots in the Midwest. The Northeast looking like best spot in the country. Texas still not looking good, but could be improving.

Checking it out now, looks like it's about 40% coverage. I'll pop back out at peak eclipse. Not sure why people get as geeked out as they do about this, but to each their own. Can't imagine sitting in traffic or dealing with the travel and crowds for 4 mins of relative darkness.
