What channel is Iowa vs. Maryland

ESPN, 6pm CST, Thursday.
Adam Amin (who also was PBP for Iowa-Maryland football) and Dan Dakich, on the call.

Hawks will need to take their goulashes. My son lives 20 mile north of College Park in Ft Meade and they got nearly 30 inches of snow over the weekend.

As controversial as Dakich is to some, he's way preferred in my eyes to Calhoun. I just assume hope that I never have to listen to him ramble through a telecast again.

Both Iowa's own site and ESPN say it will be on, ESPN.
With the new site format the BB schedule link takes me to a Yahoo Sports site with game dates & scores but no broadcast information that I can find. Is there a different link that, like on the old site format, provides that info, Dan (or anyone)?

Just drove through the area today. Highways are just about completely cleared, but with warm air coming in the boots will be handy for wading through the melted snow.

Absolutely.

(Ugh, reply fail...meant to use quote re: Dakich vs. Calhoun)

It's like voting in an election, lesser of two evils. Prefer mute button to either. Something about Dakich's voice bugs me, which of course he can't help. I also think he is rather unintelligent, which I guess he can't help, either. Yep, mute button.

I can't stand Dakich either. He wallows in the crap, has it all over himself, yet still thinks he is cool. But I would take him over rambling motor mouth Dick Vitale, who I cringe every time I hear his voice.

I like Dakich for his analysis, but if you'll recall, one of Woody's eye pokes was against Maryland. If he starts down that path...oh man.

Apparently, ESPN is desperate for announcers of its Big10 games? Considering eSpin is the SEC channel, it's not surprising, really.

I like Dakich. I don't always agree with him, but he does a pretty good job breaking down the action and he's interesting.

Ingredients

1 tablespoon vegetable oil or bacon drippings
1 1/2 lb boneless beef chuck, tip or round roast or boneless pork shoulder, cut into 3/4-inch cubes
1/2 cup beef broth
3 tablespoons paprika
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1/2 teaspoon caraway seed
1/4 teaspoon pepper
3 large onions, chopped (3 cups)
2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes, undrained
1/4 cup cold water
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
6 cups hot cooked egg noodles
Directions
  • 1 In 4-quart Dutch oven or 12-inch skillet, heat oil over medium heat. Cook beef in oil about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until brown; drain.
  • 2 Stir in remaining ingredients except water, flour and noodles. Heat to boiling; reduce heat. Cover; simmer about 1 hour 15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until beef is tender.
  • 3 In tightly covered container, shake water and flour until mixed; gradually stir into beef mixture. Heat to boiling, stirring constantly. Boil and stir 1 minute. Serve over noodles.

Absolutely. Dakich knows what the hell he's talking about and makes insightful comments during the game.

Dakich would be O.K. if he could ever quit hollering for 5 seconds at a time and let a person just watch the game.

I'd take Dakich over Calhoun any day. We dominated MSU on their floor and Calhoun couldn't wait for the Spartains to make a run on us.
