Guyton HAS to get more minutes. She's an absolute play maker and gets everyone open.
Jan has ditched the pick and roll in favor of feeding stationary post. Can somebody explain why?
I think I've seen enough from Kylie as starter.
She is always trying to draw a foul i think the under basket structure got 2 blocks on her toninght

How about adjustments at half? We had a huge opportunity to win this one. Too many mistakes.

Final score will end up looking somewhat respectable, but iowa isn't in the same class as Maryland. They dominated this game

Make layups and free throws and we might have won despite all the stupid turnovers.

Disagree. If Iowa could eliminate the unforced stupid turnovers, they win this game and might very well be undefeated.
Heiden with starters minutes at this point would foul out in 10 minutes.
Heiden and ogrady should basically sub every 3-4 minutes. One is not better than the other and Heiden needs minutes.
Stuelke feasts in track meet not 1/2 court sets. We need a passing clinic stat.
Guyton needs all the minutes she can take. She can finish dish and shoot.

You learn with experience. With ogrady why would you care.
She would foul less if her time was more predictable. She is getting the fran treatment

Don’t you essentially mean you need to win every game. One of two things happened in this game….
Either they just played like shit in the first half and finally got it together or she made massive adjustments. You can’t have it both ways.
She wants everything ran through the post. Which is fine but the post entry and timing is atrocious. We went from one of the greatest passing teams in history to shit in a hurry.
See this is what I don’t get about fans… We’re all pissed off about this game. We played like shit in the first half, but that’s not enough for people. They gotta complain about who played, they got complain about how they played, they have to complain about the coaching. Maryland scored 26 points in the second half f€#k they scored 26 in the second quarter….

I don’t disagree. But I’d like to know when Jan watched film or game plans that she actually thinks Hannah at the 4 and O Grady at the 5 and running through the post is really our best way to win. Because it’s not.
Ediger did play better than AOG or HS IMO. If AOG stays in the starting lineup JJ is not serious about beating good teams. And you have to question HS playing time given her propensity to choke.
JJ needs to start making some hard decisions IMO about who the toughest and most competent players are. She also needs to start coaching a more fluid approach during game.
We almost need to use a timeout when things are going well. Unforced turnovers killed multiple runs. We get too excited and turn dumb.
It should be obvious to Jan that if it's not working by now, you adjust
