Saw a quote "in the last years of the show, producers found they had created a shortage of 1969 Dodge Chargers. They used AMC Ambassadors, painted them orange and used fancy camera angles and editing techniques to try and hide the switch. They also went and asked random people with 69 Chargers if they wanted to sell to the company in parking lots etc when they'd see em in public.

And I actually found the movie to be pretty funny. The round-a-bout chase scene is great.
