Illinois losing the last game makes this tougher. They will be more focused going into Iowa City, not that they wouldn't be anyway but it's always tougher to play a good team right after they've lost.

I think it will be closer than that. I saw it was Iowa's first sellout of the year, and the Hawkeyes are playing for their NCAA Tournament lives. While there will be a decent number of Illini fans like usual, I think the 6:00 pm start time will keep some away ... in other words, I think the vast majority of the 15,400 will be Iowa fans, and I expect a really rowdy atmosphere. Combine that with Iowa playing well lately, and I would guess Illinois is no more than a 2-point favorite.

I think Illinois will be a little disheartened after that last lost. They are trying to act like they’re up there with the big boys and Purdue beat them at home. Now they’re coming into Iowa city with Iowa Super Bowl and I think Iowa’s gonna come out fast.
