How would this work? I think you can only take 25 each year for a total of 85. I guess it would be first come first serve.

Michigan has 23 and still going after 7 more.. The over singing tacit is a shame.. If you miss on a kid you should have to eat it. It would put more emphasis on evaluating talent..

I'd take Jackson. Nothing against Farniok, but I think he might be a better Guard than Tackle. Jackson will play OT. Iowa needs an OT in this class. They already have 2 interior guys verballed in this class.

Perhaps they wait and see what the decision on Drew Ott is, to get the 2nd commit in the
HAWKEYE fold?

It is just baffling to me that Iowa has had such a hard time lately recruiting highly ranked OL recruits. They got Daniels last year but that was because of his brother being here.

The Brodner offer is really weird? They either know they aren't going to get either one or no that someone is going to flip. Doesn't seem like a position of need.

The fact that Baker visited makes me think Farniok is a no go, wonder if he'll visit. Jackson could be a Nebby lean also.

We had a really good OL class last year. Just because the Iowa OL recruits had three stars does not mean they can't play.

I think the 17 class has a lot of very talented linemen we are in on.

I assume you are referring to Ja'Chai Baker. I was not aware he had visited recently. I thought he was a Wyoming commit. With his size he could be an interesting development project. Hopefully we will know more after this weekend's visits.

Sounds like Jackson is going to stop by Ames too and possibly be there for Big Monday against KU. That would be interesting.

ISU is a fallback school for Jackson if Farniok commits to Iowa and Fant stays. You could get lucky though.

Or maybe Manning (National OL COY) and the staff sells him on early pt at ISU. We shall see.

I would think you'd be a bit disappointed if little 'ol ISU was his next best offer.

Like someone else said. ISU is a fall back school for Jackson if something happens with his top 3 schools. Not anything wrong with that but that's the truth.

It they both want to commit, maybe KF pulls the offer to Fant. His verbal commit has been very weak and it kinda feels like he's waiting for something that he perceives to be better, to come along.

Who doesn't like this guy, Brodner? I see a guy who is patient and waits for his bloscks to set up. Then he PLANTS HIS FOOT and cuts up into the hole evenif it is in the middle where it is dark. Great acceleration! Can clearly catch passes out of the slot. Makes people miss. At about the 5:00 minute mark he has a GREAT stiff-arm when he should have been cut down for a loss ... and gets 6! The thing we need most isn't 4.4 speed, it is a RB who can have the vision to see the cut back lanes and then plant his foot and GO!

I see a Football Player that needs to get on the bus!

If you're talking Ja'Chai Baker, good kid but he can't play at Iowa. I've watched him for several years now and there's zero chance Iowa will offer him.
