What?! No "How did we lose to Indiana twice" thread?

Can't believe people still haven't figured out how IU beat Iowa twice this past season............

They scored more points than the Hawks. Problem solved.

It boggles my mind that they are not a tourney team. They were clutch against us. The Minny game is still hard for me to swallow. We had that won. Foul the bastard!
B. Johnson 8-9 3 point fgs against Iowa December 25
6-46 all other games

Indiana 2-0 vs Iowa
5-13 against all other Big Ten teams

The 2 Hoosier fans I know are hoping Brad Stevens somehow comes to Bloomington.

Celtics fans are getting tired of Stevens & his lack of adjustments (so they say). I wonder if he would stay in the NBA or go back to college should this end up being his last season in Boston.

That ship has sailed. Those losses LITERALLY do not mean anything at this point - Iowa would STILL be a #3 seed in the BTT even had they won BOTH of those games, their NET would still be #5, and they'd still be looking at a #2 NCAA seed with a need to win the BTT to knock IL or MI out of a #1 slot. Even if they had ALSO won at Minnesota, their situation wouldn't be much different - They'd be playing Rutgers today instead of Wisconsin (beat both twice) and would probably STILL need to beat Illinois in the semis to improve their NCAA seed to a #1.

Let it go.

Ehhh, as close as they were winning some close losses, they won some close ones that easily could've been loses. Seasons have a way of ending where they should, this is no different.

The only game I complained about was the Minnesota game. That one should have been in the bag with a foul. I can live with the two IU games, I thought they outplayed us late in both contests.

Really, our only close wins were: Rutgers, Penn State and Wisconsin. Obviously could have gone the other way in any or all of those. But for the most part, our wins have been pretty handily.

Exactly, ended about where they should. If anything, they were more fortunate than unlucky.

Yeah, it is not like we were winning or losing with buzzer beaters, sans one IU game and the end of regulation vs the rodents. I thought the season landed about where it should have.

I did not like the end of the Illinois game, and that could have gone either way as well.

Close losses: Illinois, Minnesota, Indiana
Close wins: Penn St., Rutgers and Wisconsin
