I have somebody that's going to be looking for a single or maybe two tickets won't know for sure if they're coming until mid-afternoon so they're just going to try and show up and scalp one. Just curious what people think the price will be. I'm guessing availability will not be an issue whatsoever

I tried to haggle down scalpers from 30 minutes before to 15 minutes into the Iowa/Minny night game in 2015. They refused to drop their prices and were just going to eat the tickets because no one was willing to pay. I wish I could remember how much it was but I can't recall. The only people selling were the "pro" scalpers and they were willing to take the hit on the tickets they had left. I'm guessing everyone actually going to the game had sold their extras throughout the day while tailgating.

Different situation as we were undefeated later into the season and a top 10 team but I told myself I would never wait last minute and scalp a night game again. Luckily, I had a backup plan and just met up with friends at the bars and watched the Hawks win!

it won't be the $95 for the tix that were available yesterday. tix still available right?

Yes thousands. And StubHub is cheaper than the University even with their nasty fees.
I checked this morning and the cheapest Stubhub tickets were like $65+$20 fees while tickets from the University are $95+$3 fees. So yeah as of then it was a decent amount cheaper to go Stubhub

$50 or so. I got tickets for the Michigan game last year 30 minutes before the game for about $54 including taxes. Demand seems similar for this weekend versus last November's game.

Scalpers charge tax?

I've scalped for a lot of Iowa games, OSU, Wiscy, ISU, etc and never paid more than $10 per ticket. Two rules: never buy from the pros and position yourself accordingly. It's not that hard.

Not to sound like a dickhead know it all - but it I were coming in from out of town at the last minute, I'd be willing to just pay the price online and know that I don't have to care all day. Unless you kind of don't care about going to the game (been there), just put the ticket issue to bed in the morning before jumping in the car.

My wife gets them for free. She usually misses half of the first quarter. Once in a while she misses the entire first quarter.

I actually have one extra, in the seat right next to me (out-of-town Brother couldn't make it at the last minute). South end zone,Section 13 Row 33, no standing students in front.

I'd be pleased to get $60, but not to haggle. Send your e-mail if you're interested.

Been to over 200 games and bought outside for all but a handful. That game was one of the hardest to get into, so many more buyers than tickets. It won't be so bad tomorrow night, but I do think night games are tougher for the reasons you stated.

I agree 100%. I travel all over the country for work and get excited when I bid for a rate on Priceline the day of my stay and feel like I've won. NFW I am doing that outside of Kinnick.

I will gladly pay enough ahead of time to secure seats for a big game in Iowa city but haggle over a few business dollars in Big City, USA

Prices dropped to about $75 all-in overnight.

Exactly. That game was an exception. I remember looking into the stadium 30 minutes before and not seeing an empty seat.

That's why they are saying they are having a hard time selling out. $95 for face value is way too high for the state of Iowa when I could avoid the travel and parking and just watch it on my 70inch 4K TV.
