Nice premise, but if you played that game with other teams that fared better in the NCAA tournament on an annual basis with their higher ranked players, Iowa would still get hosed in the first week of the tournament. Nothing to see here....
Plus if Fran was coaching he would demand his 2 sons to be on the roster and all 15 players would see court time with no one getting into a flow of the game. Plus only 5 players can play at any one time, it would be a nightmare to decide who to have on the floor at any one time except for Connor 🤣 .

To your first point - clearly. We wood get wiped by the KU, Duke, Zaga team in the same time frame. Thats not what im curious about though. I meant against all other teams this year. Would we be the favorites?

It wouldnt be a nightmare at all. A nightmare would be looking down my bench and seeing Lil Lick and Bawinkel. Or Lat Mayen and Eric Andre.

I don't know if I'd take that team at 5/1 (Gonzaga right now) but I'd absolutely take them at 9/1 (Arizona and Auburn).
