What would you have traded to win yesterday?

I’ve been thinking today about what I would have traded from our team to of won yesterday.

I’m not sure it would be anything.

Bluder? Absolutely not. She is a wonderful coach and teaches these women to be wonderful women, and ones our kids can look up to!

Any of our players? Again, absolutely not. This group of girls is a group we should all be proud of , and proud to call Hawkeyes.

We obviously didn’t get the result we wanted, or did we?

We can walk away with our heads heals high, a team that shocked the country, a team who had an absolutely incredible run, a team our kids can look up to and aspire to be like.

Through it all, I’m incredibly proud of this team, coaching staff, and the fans for this season. It’s one I will never forget.

Interestingly it was LSU's bench that overwhelmed Iowa. Carson literally could not miss. Take her insane shooting out of the equation and it would have been a much tighter game. Poa jacked up a dagger or two herself... they inflicted more damage than Reese or Miller IMHO. You could feel balloon deflating after those ladies jacked up those threes and long twos.

LSU's bread and butter is the transfer portal. Iowa cannot be counted out next season because they have CC, but they'll need a bigger, more physical presence up because the rebounding differential was stark, to say the least. 6-2, 6-3 players just aren't going to cut it these days. Iowa needs to look for some 6-4, 6-5 posts that get down and dirty and feast off the glass - offensively and defensively.

I would not have traded anyone, coach or player, off this team. They are special just the way they are. Even though we lost the final, it was still a great achievement defeating South Carolina. I don't think LSU could have done that.
