It’s funny to me that these polls reveal the boards actually have some level headed fans. I could have sworn after last week it’d be 90% 17-14..

I'm seeing 5-5 but haven't a clue how it will go down. Worried that of this group we take at least one loss and probably two losses (NW, 2x IND, 2x RUT). So presumably we will win a couple of these (UM, @OSU, @NEB, @WIS, MD). The thing is they're almost all toss ups. Going to have to bring defensive effort for a full 40 minutes and take care of the ball.

@ Indiana game is absolutely huge if we want to stay off “bubble-in” status, assuming we don’t have a season defining yuuuggee win tonorrrow night!

To me this is a relatively veteran team and I think they will find a way to recover after getting beat tomorrow night. I think they finish 6-3 to get to 11-9 with an overall record 22-9. Win one game in Chicago and will go into the NCAA tournament as a 6 or 7 seed and 23-10 record. We beat a 2 or 3 in the 2nd round and lose in sweet 16 to finish 25-11.

I'd take that ..... :cool:

You know what, 3-7 probably gets them in if they can win a first round game in the B10 which I understand has rarely happened under Fran. 4-6 probably gets them in even if they lose in 1st round of B10, but we would obv be flirting with disaster in either scenario I laid it.

need it just to get back on the W side. Don't want to turn that one into our 4th straight loss.....especially vs a team that will likely come in w/ 8 straight losses!

At this point in the season I am planted firmly in the belief that IF they play 40 minutes of decent defense, they can beat anybody left on the schedule. What I don't know is, will they play 40 minutes of decent defense?

This team is completely capable of playing with the best teams in the conference physically, skill wise, etc.....it is really a matter of mental discipline to play at the intensity level on the defensive end without making defensive mistakes that will dictate how they finish the year.

By Sat. morning this site will be going crazy.:p One way or the other....
I vote !@#$%^&*():D

I've got 21-10. Maybe a little better if they can pull any upsets (looking at you, Michigan and Maryland).

Wins:
@Indiana
NW
@Rutgers
Indiana
Rutgers

Agreed but that's why I'm picking a 5-5 finish, lol.

In looking at the remaining games, Iowa (under Fran) has traditionally had success vs Michigan and is primed for an upset, but to be honest it would require Michigan to have an off night as well.

Beyond that, @Rutgers, @Indiana scares me, but all the games are winnable. It’s go time Hawks.

How much longer is Indiana going to be a quad 1 game?

They're 48th at the moment (as of 1/30 games). So they've have to drop 27 more spots. They're likely to stay quad 1.

"I can see why they're 17-5 right now. We got beat by a really good team. They (were) much better than us. Their bench was terrific.''

"I saw it coming last year as well."

"I was laughing at people when they were going into this year and they ... weren't being ranked as one of the top teams in the league. I said `Are you kidding me? They've got everybody back.' I mean, who has everybody back?''

I am still sticking with 7-3

After last night's win, Iowa "simply" has to now finish 6-3;)

And crap, the game at IU Thursday suddenly becomes more interesting

The whole B1G is interesting!! Almost any game is a question mark.

But if you....err Fran can just keep the guys Focused on the D end, then I think we will be finishing 6-3. I honestly cannot say any one game is a loss. Can you??

I think if we stay focused on the game plan, every game of the remaining 9 is a possible win.

I am hoping CHA is hopping and that we take care of business in our remaining four home games. The 5 remaining away games? As we saw with IU at MSU today, anything can happen on the road in the B1G.

HOME GAMES:
#21 on Jan 17 Maryland (H)
#30 on Jan 17 Indiana (H)
