I'm looking for your guys' opinions on who the most likely AA's are that are unseeded. I'm actually trying to gain some "advice" for a pool I'm in with some MU buddies. One of our guys has to be an unseeded wrestler, if you had money riding on it (more importantly Pride vs. MU guys)...who are the best choices here.
TIA

For us it is probably Brooks at a 9 which is seeded but not projected AA and probably Schoop(sp). I don't think Brewer from OKIE got seeded but he would be a good bet in a pool.

Kelly and Moore. Alright maybe not but realistically I would say Brascetta from VT, either Kindig or Stieber if they can overcome their injuries, Collica, Delgado, Spisak and maybe Rodriguez from ISU. Seems like a lot of the tougher unseeded guys ended up with highly ranked first round opponents so it's hard telling.

Since it's a crapshoot on the extent of the injuries, and you're just looking for someone to make the podium, my 1st inclination would be Brascetta (the few times I've seen him healthy I was really impressed), then probably Delgado. I think 125 is deeper, so that makes it more difficult for Delgado, but as long as he holds up at all, he'll most likely make the podium.

Casey, I think Brewer is seeded, 13th IIRC.

Completely misread the original thread intent so I deleted all my suggestions as they were incorrect. The computers fault again. Not mine of course.

Collica from OSU at 157. He TF Alton recently.

Weatherspoon ISU at 184.

Courts tOSU at 184.

Sorry, I knew that also. I am pretty sure Brewer is close to 100% healthy. How healthy do you think H Stieber and Delgado are.

Kindig is not healthy, but don't know if he is even close or not.

I thought I read where he med Forfeit and defaulted in his 2 matches in their tournament. So............

He gets Habat 1st round.

Delgado? Seems like the 2x NC that is unseeded might be a decent pick

Was told Kindig is dealing with a hamstring injury.

Did Hunter Stieber and Jesse Delgado look close to healthy at Big 10's?

I think Staudenmayer of Brown at 157 injury defaulted in the later rounds of his tourney also. He has Collica of Ok State.

Delgado
Lambert
Kindig
Brascetta
Miklus
Weatherspoon
Harner
Courts
Bernstein
Reyes
Riley Shaw

As you can see, I think 184 is pretty wide open (I listed 6 guys)

lambert would have a tough go to make it, garrett 1st rd, consi v loser of younsey petrov then loser of peters teraro

I agree on Brascetta. I think he is healthy and will have a chance to AA.

Yeah, just filling out my bracket now and you are right. Lambert actually has WINNER of Youtsey/Petrov, then WINNER of Peters/Terao, then loser of Gilman/Conaway/Dance for medal. Not happening.

Looking at the bracket, in that bear of a mini bracket with Peters/Terao/Delgado/Cox,you are not that bad off if you lose the opening round. Maybe only slightly less likely to medal than if you lose in quarters to Waters. More likely to medal than if you win 1st round and lose 2nd round.

Somebody is getting a medal out of there and they might not be seeded. I will change my 125 unseeded suggestions to Delgado and Terao.

EDIT: You lose the 1st round match, but get out of the 1st round consy, you end up with Boyle in the medal match. You get to the quarters and then lose to Waters, you get the Conaway/Gilman loser in the medal match. Which medal match would you rather see, lol? I'd pick Boyle.
