WHO IS CONNOR BETTS?

Heavy.com got access to the shooter’s social media. Contrary to the media narrative currently boiling over, this shooter was not a Trump fan. In fact, he hated Trump, hated Republicans, was an avowed leftist, used antifa style language in his posts, and loved Elizabeth Warren.

Here’s some of what was found.

Bett’s Twitter profile read, “he/him / anime fan / metalhead / leftist / i’m going to hell and i’m not coming back.” One tweet on his page read, “Off to Midnight Mass. At least the songs are good. #athiestsonchristmas.” The page handle? I am the spookster. On one selfie, he included the hashtags, “#selfie4satan #HailSatan @SatanTweeting.” On the date of Republican Sen. John McCain’s death, he wrote, “F*ck John McCain.”

On Nov. 2, 2018, he wrote: “Vote blue for gods sake.”

Ironically, he was even a rabid supporter of gun control, using it to levy attacks against Republicans.

“This is America: Guns on every corner, guns in every house, no freedom but that to kill,” he wrote in December 2018. And, “’Tis! The pistol is a Beretta 93R, called the REK7 in BO4. Do love me some guns!” He also wrote, “Hammer, brick, gun.” On Feb. 14, 2018, he tweeted this at Sen. Rob Portman: “@robportman hey rob. How much did they pay you to look the other way? 17 kids are dead. If not now, when?” That was the date of the mass shooting at a school in Parkland, Florida…

He used language often used by Antifa, exclaiming that he wants to “kill every fascist.” He also liked and commented on posts expressing support for the group.

“#2016ElectionIn3Words This is bad,” he wrote on Nov. 8, 2016. “You can’t kill 50+ people and injure 600(!) In 10 minutes with cigarettes my dude,” he wrote in 2017. In response to a Buzzfeed story that read, “Virginia has declared a state of emergency in anticipation of the “Unite the Right” rally anniversary in Charlottesville this weekend,” he wrote: “Kill every fascist.”

Betts was a politically active socialist who supported Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders.

On the Twitter page, Connor Betts indicated he’d vote for Elizabeth Warren for president but not Kamala Harris, responding to a person’s tweet suggesting they be co-presidents. “Nahh, but only cuz Harris is a cop – Warren I’d happily vote for,” he wrote.

He responded to a person’s tweet that read “if you nominate anyone other than sanders, you’re going to lose” by writing, “I think Warren has a decent shot, as well.” Some of his tweets referred to guns.

He was a fan of “The Squad,” Including Rep. Ocasio Cortez and Rep. Omar.

He shared an article that criticized Democratic leaders like Nancy Pelosi for not supporting Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Rashida Tlaib, Ilhan Omar, and Ayanna Pressley. “Read it,” he wrote. He shared posts about “concentration camps” at the border and wrote, “Cut the fences down. Slice ICE tires. Throw bolt cutters over the fences.”

He retweeted a post from another person about stealing from “right wingers” at a Trump rally.

This all leaves very little question about who Betts really was. He was absolutely a far leftist. He was not a white supremacist and hated religious people. He repeated antifa, as well as Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez talking points on his social media. He was a global warming enthusiast and an avowed socialist. Every piece of evidence we have points to his radicalization coming via the left, not the right.
His issue was having a mental disorder and still allowed to purchase a firearm. If his politics influenced him he would have gone to a mega-church and shot it up.

No doubt on the mental disorder. The media won't touch the story of these guys being on SSRI drugs because they are dependent on Big Pharma ad $$$$.

If by silence you mean a five page thread on the first page then yes, the "lefties" have been silent on it (and I'm a libertarian conservative just not a Magat).

Also, it highlights what the real problem is since two of the three mass shootings in the last 72 hours were by nerdy incels who post on 4 and 8chan were spouting Drumpf rhetoric about immigrants and targeted Hispanics and the other was a nerdy white incel who posted on other social media and was NOT a Magat (that we're aware of at this time). All of them were socially awkward incels who had easy access to weapons of mass murderer. The rhetoric and politics changed who they targeted but at the core the problem is the ease of social media to quickly radicalize these "losers" and their easy access to abundant and cheap bullets and weapons of mass murderer caused the multitude of deaths we are dealing with.

They were incels? Are we getting a bit loose with that term?

there is a huge problem with just saying everyone is an incel or has a mental disorder. I did not approve of trump saying he wanted to red flag people. if trump can red flag people, then Clinton could, or Obama. or Bernie. or whomever. if a dem didn't like repub, he could red flag them for no reason. or a repub could do it to a dem. the second amendment says nothing about your mental state when protecting yourself

What, exactly, makes him an avowed socialist? I don't think supporting either Warren or Sanders makes one an avowed socialist. And what, exactly, is a global warming enthusiast? Implication there is that being passionate about the issue is somehow derogatory. Holy shit if that's the case.

Was his killing spree found to be out of an expression of his political beliefs?

Not trying to deflect or defend. Asking genuinely.

was it ever confirmed that the el paso shooter did? the vegas shooter? the boston or Austin bomber? there is just internet stuff on all these people.

Oof, that's not a good look by Antifa.

I just wonder if he saw the threats the night before that he would be targeted why he didn't contact police about the threats, and why he continued to show up anyway. I'm just speaking personally, if a group with a reputation like Antifa had it out for me, I wouldn't go near it, or at least I would never stray far from police.

I understand he wanted to document and journal what he believes to be the true side of Antifa, but it seems like he walked into fire and then is upset because he got burned.

Not conding Antifa, what they did was awful, but also what he did was reckless and not a smart decision.

What, exactly, passes as confirmation for you? It's very subjective, I know. But answer anyway, if you don't mind.

in a court of law. convictions. I still don't know who did 9-11 cause nobody ever went on trial and got convicted of it. this el paso guy needs to go on trial, answer to his crimes. if hate crime is one of them: prove it. for sure. I think all murders are done out of hate except maybe a mercy killing or somebody with terminal cancer or something. I am not 100% sure he authored that darn manifesto. nobody says"about me". that's idiotic. but they could match bullets to his gun and match his finger prints on the gun and convict him of murder.

My error in not providing the link from the partisan site.

My guess is the author took a leap in conclusions after Betts defended AOC, Sanders et al who are known for their positions.

This lawmaker thinks she has the answers. Seriously how do people like this get elected?

I can’t believe I’m doing this but...

Trump, Clinton not Obama are red flagging anyone. That’s stupid.

The racist El Paso shooter wasn’t protecting himself and he is mentally ill. One of the first things the Constitution mentions is providing a common defense and promoting the general welfare. Keeping guns out of the possession of crazies falls under both of these.

you still don't know if he's racist or if he was even the shooter or if wrote that crap or anything, yet you persist on acting like you know all this stuff for fact. but, we shall wait and see what kind of info comes out, if any at all does. recall vegas and the Austin bomber please.

trump said in a speech he wanted to red flag people. Obama red flagged all returning vets as being crazy and with ptsd and threatened to take all their guns away. Clinton red flagged every single rushbo listener as a tyrant and made up stories about righties in okc bombing . it's a slippery slope here. the general welfare does not mean taking guns , which can protect us. jeebus.

Everybody knows the definition, slowpoke (boomer, I’m guessing?)

The question was whether it’s actually a useful descriptors or just a catch-all term thrown out to describe any white male people don’t like.

The article I linked to is more than a definition it details the rise of the previous nonexistent community and how it has become toxic and violent. So maybe rtfa before saying I'm a boomer.

Have you read any of this thread? The shooter in Wal-Mart was the heavy Trump fan and had the manifesto saying he did it because of the hispanic invasion. We've known since post one in this thread that this guy was seemingly just an angry incel and had that as his motivation for the attack.

And again. I don't care which side of the political aisle can motivate extremist acts (And both can), we need to put in change that keeps those people who become radicalized (Whether by Antifa or White Nationalism or just being angry men) from having easy access to assault rifles or other weaponry where they can kill 9 people in 20 seconds.

you don't know this. the authorities have said they are looking into this but have not proven it.

what about the el paso dude? I posted a linkedin where he said he just played vid games {presumably} 8 hrs a day.
It said he was on the computer 8 hours a day. You assumed it was playing video games. For a guy who won't speculate about the legitimacy of the manifesto, you're awfully quick to jump to conclusions when it supports your narrative.

Yup. And if we find a post on it that says, “I’m a Racist Trump fan that’s gonna shoot people”, OiT would the decide that we can’t be sure that’s his account.

oh yes I definitely believe linkedin wayyy before I believe a made up fake manifesto. don't you?

I tend to believe linked in with his name on it . but even that could be made up. it just carries more weight. a fake manifesto could be a troll job by 8chan. the authorities have said they are looking into it. this time next year we still will have no answers

He already admitted it was his manifesto, according to the authorities. So, yeah. You can let that one go now. It’s was him. And it was his manifesto.

I never heard that. of course I only listen to am radio. which says they are looking into it. trump caved today and became a democrat aoc-pelosi- owned loser so it doesn't matter anyways.

Difference is Liz Warren isn't out there voicing and promoting rhetoric bent on positioning groups of people as "invaders" and "rapists and murderers" and using and/or promoting ideas like infestation and vermin and the like. Nor is Bernie Sanders. Nor is AOC.

The reason people want to include Trump in the bucket of those who share blame for things like El Paso is because of the things Trump says and/or encourages that position other "outgroups" as less than human, or as invaders, or both.

History has shown time and again that there are consequences for this type of rhetoric. At this point any responsible leader would know when crossing the line is crossing the line.

It's like that Onion tweet a few weeks back where the headline was like "White Supremacists Ask Trump to Dial it Back a Little". I think it was after the squad go back to your country of origin tweet fiasco.

That tweet was all normal and shit. No self-promotion. No weird capital letters. No rambling onto a second tweet with four-dot ellipses.

So he didn't write it.

By the way, I'm thinking if these two shootings—El Paso and Toledo-I-mean-Dayton—happened in reverse order, well I enjoy thinking about how you would have handled it. Surely you would think the El Paso would have then been staged and completely fake paid for by Soros to deflect from the Lefty shooting in Dayton.
