Serious question; I don't know the answer.

Many factors to consider....

Who started the most wars. Who continued those wars? Who dialed the conflicts back? Who ended them?

Whose policies caused death and destruction by proxy or economic devastation, and so on, or by withholding aid?

This is going to be a game of we withheld aid so every death recorded ever is that years president's fault.

I mean it depends on your definition.

Does fighting a war thrust upon you by others count against your peacefulness? Because it's not like FDR started World War 2?

Do you get points for ending a war that a predecessor had started? If so Eisenhower would be up there considering the Korean war ended 6 months after he took office.

Also do you really get points for not fighting a war when the main reason you didn't fight it was because you doubted your capability to win??

Jefferson ordered the first barbary war.
Okay, he tried to protect against pirates. Horrible person.

So Jefferson gets a pass for protection from pirates, but FDR doesn't get the same courtesy for protection from Nazis, fascists, and an empire that engaged in a sneak attack on the US Navy?
One's a police state. Other was in a war. What American soldiers did was fight against Nazis, fascists and the Japanese Empire. I'm not saying he didn't do the right things, but he also oversaw the nukes. He passed more legislation to create the large government state we have now all in the name of war. He wasn't a good guy, in fact they had to pass laws to stop presidents from staying in office for more than 2 terms because of him.

They passed that law because he was on his 4th term, when he died, not because of the war.

And your complaint about the large government state has nothing to do with how peaceful he was only your personal political complaint about our modern government.

You make a good point, however, he also imprisoned thousands of Japanese Americans in camps. Not a good thing if you ask me.

Listen. This was a question about who I thought was the most peaceful and who was the least peaceful. I gave my opinion. If you may not like who I picked but get over it. Go beat off to your FDR poster. He is a liberal tyrant of a president and is only beloved because he created large government programs and got hundreds of thousands of men killed to win a war. He killed millions of indecent people with nukes. He was an asshole. He stayed in office entirely to long and died there. He lied to the American public about being in a wheelchair and his disease.

He was pretty beloved in his day hence winning 4 terms.

Odd that you say he got those men killed and ascribe no fault to the Japanese or the Germans for attacking us and declaring war on us. Nope FDR started that war in your eyes.

And the nukes likely saved lives in the long run. And he didn't even order their deployment, just their construction. Would you have preferred he left the US behind the 8 ball on nuclear weapons while the Soviets got them first?

I never said he started the wars, stop with the projections. I was my opinion, to a question. You're not changing my mind to back off. While I agree things needed to be done and nukes needed to be done. The war needed to be fought. But that isn't what the question was. It was who was the least peaceful. I answered that question. You may love him, but he did more damage domestically than any other president.
