And wasn't MSU the preseason #1 team in the country?

I see ONE loss for sure. :D

They have five difficult games and one fairly easy one. I see them losing at least one of their next five. At Iowa, will not be easy. I’m guessing @IND will be a completely different team from what we saw Thursday. Illinois should be a win, but Rutgers and MSU with @Iowa sandwiched in between..... If they win all three of those, nothing you can do but tip your cap, because they’ve earned.

Let me ask you. At this point, where do you feel we finish? I said awhile back that we would finish at 11-9. Based on the win at Minny, and the possibility of winning at Breslin, a tall task for anyone, where are you at with these last 4 games? Also, with the log jam we're seeing now at the top of the standings, do you see us finishing in the top 4?

The BTT #1 seed will be Maryland, of course.

Here's my guess on seeds 2 through 6:

There are 5 teams, of course, at 10-6 fighting for seeds #2 - #4.

#2: 13-7 Penn State (only loss: at IOWA)
#3: 13-7 IOWA (only loss: at MSU)
#4: 13-7 Wisconsin (only loss: at Michigan)
........................................
#5: 12-8 Michigan State (lose at MD & at PSU)
#6: 12-8 Illinois (lose at OSU & vs IOWA)

I don’t think Iowa loses to tMSU tonight....

but unsure if they can run table after this W

I put in a different thread yesterday that if the season goes "chalk" from here on out, the seedings will be:

#1 MD
#2 IL
#3 PSU
#4 WI
#5 IA
#6 MSU

In short - In order for Iowa to crack that top 4, they will very likely have to (in addition to winning 2 tough home games) pull off an upset in East Lansing or Champaign.

If the B1G season goes "chalk" except that Iowa wins just one of those games, they would get the #2 seed (if they beat MSU) or #3 seed (if they beat IL).

Crazy how on Monday night Iowa would have been the #2 seed.

On Thurs night, I think we suddenly are the #6 seed.

I did not expect Wisky to go to Michigan and win last night. :mad:
 
If playing defense is boring, guilty as charged.
The game was actually exciting. The Badger offense could legitimately be described as methodical but not boring.
 
I think the “boring” tag is overblown. I don’t think fan bases of slower tempo teams like Wisconsin or Virginia are winning games as boring. Iowa football plays a fundamental brand of football as well and fans love it when it leads to wins.

As shown during the Kaminsky and Dekker years, Wisconsin basketball is pretty when they have top tier talent.

That said I see Iowa finishing 3-0, Wisconsin finishing 2-1, MSU finishing 2-1 and PSU and Illinois finishing 1-2 so there will be a 3-way tie between MSU, Iowa and Wisconsin for 2nd place at 13-7. In that scenario Iowa is 2-seed.
