Notre Dame is a team of destiny.
Don't know who, but I know who I'd rather see win. The weekly memory of Beano's nonstop babbling about ND and the visual of Lou Holtz watering system when hyping ND has me leaning to osu. OK it's more than a lean. Not an osu fan but i hope it's not even close, Go BIG.

physical slugfest is not what osu likes and that's what nd brings. biggest game of day's career. can he take the pressure? freeman we know can. game might well be osu-michigan part deux

I am torn. I do root for ND...but not over the Hawks. Now, I normally root for the BIG, but man....I just don't care for OSU.

Remind me again how much you get for "close"?
It's not about how much one gets for "close". I was just lamenting that Iowa actually had a good chance to win the game and make it 6-0 for Big Ten. Not like last season when it was apparent that Iowa (and Ohio State without the quarterback) had no hope of winning their games.

Guys...It's all good! We had a chance to beat mighty Missouri in Nashville.

Thankful! (And yes, I know we won 10 games two years ago)

It's not a homer vote because I'm not one of those "SEC! SEC! SEC!" or "B10 ROOLZ!" cucks. You should pick a team and hate all others, unless you're some kind of Nancy. I want Notre Dame to win in this case though, since my team hasn't sniffed this game in 24 years. Notre Dame is not going to win. Notre Dame may get blown out though. OSU peaked at the right time.

Ohio State has better athletes, but Notre Dame is probably better-coached. They're basically a better Michigan as they have a championship-level defense and have just enough offense to keep drives alive. They don't settle for field goals in the red zone, and they aren't going to leave points on the field like Texas did.

Ohio State needs to start fast, like they did against Tennessee and Oregon. They can't let ND hang around like Texas did because that 1st-and-goal at the one is a TD for the Irish and would be a tie game late.

I voted OSU but wouldn't be shocked with a ND win. OSU has the talent advantage. The Michigan game gives me pause...ND plays the same overall style but they're better at it.

the playoff games against georgia and psu
that said i do think osu is the better team
So Ohio St’s games against Oregon and Texas don’t reflect equal “able to take the pressure” for Day? I want to know why you distinguish between the two, putting Freeman in the ‘yes’ category and Day in the ‘maybe/will he?’.

his repeated losses to his biggest rival michigan. this year he lost at home against a far inferior mi in what at the time was a must win type situation. he had everything lined up -- a home game, a better team -- only problem imo he couldn't handle pressure

day is a decent coach. yes he beat a good texas team in a close game to his credit, as for oregon he got a second shot at them which makes a difference. he might well pull it off against nd but his mi losses are the question mark

At least he didn't lose to Northern Illinois.

I'm just giving you sh*t at this point. I just find it odd that you came to the conclusion that ND's coach was ready to handle a game of this caliber and Ohio St's might not be, especially with Freeman going up against his alma mater, never coached through a conference grind and has laid a few eggs himself the past 3 seasons.

If we still only had a 4 team CFP, this match-up would not have happened because tOSU & Notre Dame would not have made the 4 team cut.

Ohio State - Oregon game was for the natty this year.

Said that when I saw the bracket.

Also, I had the bracket picked perfectly except I had Clemson where Texas finished up.

ND plays tough, physical football. They have an outstanding, aggressive, confident young coach. I think Ohio State wins, but it won't be easy. As much as I detest Notre Dame, I have great respect for the way they play and the way they're coached. Yes, I'm jealous, sorry to admit.
I think you would be much happier joining the fanbase of either team. Being a hawk fan is too disappointing for you.
