Rob Bruggeman....Yanda!
Bruggy was everything you would want in a center with a nasty streak. Yanda, man, you may as well call the nasty award the Yanda Trophy.

Agreed! Man, he would just pancake guys and lay on them, driving them into the turf, routinely handfighting and pushing after whistle...loved it..Bruggy was everything you would want in a center with a nasty streak. Yanda, man, you may as well call the nasty award the Yanda Trophy.
It's sad; but I laughed my ass off that this.
The days of an every down player on the defensive front have basically come to an end.AJE will be nasty once he's allowed to be an every down player.
It's about time too ... given all the tempo offenses ... you don't want D-linemen to "measure" when they're going to give a down their all. You want them to be tenacious on every down that they can ... getting spelled by depth helps them to keep fresh legs. The days of an every down player on the defensive front have basically come to an end.
Ah, sounds like a Matt Roth clone. One nasty guy, and a little out of control at times.....Guys like Scherff and Yanda were "nasty" ... they just brought a little extra to each down. They wanted to dominate the guy across from them ... they wanted to win every and any block they were in on. They wanted to dish out some punishment.
Sometimes, when you get "nasty" with a defensive player ... it sometimes can be a little too out-of-control. That sort of lack of discipline can hurt the D. However, if it is a "controlled" nasty ... that it can definitely be a positive.
I'm hoping the cheerleaders even get nasty
