Agreed. Women's final could easily move to 5 pm so no overlap.
I doubt it's if it's up to Iowa or the B1G. TV money dictates...
Is the womens final even on TV? I havent been able to see any of their other games. ESPN says that they are on FS2, i dont have that..

This. Plus, with all the good men's basketball and other sports going on today, I think the B1G women are pretty fortunate to have their game on ESPNU and not BTN or even stuck on FS2 again.
It's pretty rare for one school to have their 2 teams playing in that same slot. Just bad luck for the Iowa women, who deserve to have more eyeballs from Hawkeye fans on their game other than flipping from the men's game during commercials.
Normally the tournaments are different weekends, no? Assuming CV19 had a voice. I disagree the B1G doesn't have a say. ESPN doesn't ask the B1G if they can show the game. They pay the B1G to show the game. It's their product. Honestly surprised the men's games aren't a day/night doubleheader.
Not sure on different weekends. That may very well have been the case in previous years.
The reason the men's games aren't day/night doubleheaders is CBS is paying the Big 10 to show the men's semifinals in that Saturday afternoon window, and on the Sunday afternoon window for the championship leading into Selection Sunday activities.
