Why wait to check in Toussaint until a minute left in the game?

Yes, Bakari hit a 3 to keep us in it, but I can't help but cringe when he has the ball after the opposing team goes on a run, plays bad defense, or commits turnovers down the stretch. Winston had 1 point in the first half, I think JoeT was a big reason for that.

We've seen JT make big plays in big games in big moments, so why not now? Let the kid grow and learn, because I'd rather have his tough attitude and energy out there than Bakari. That was a big miss

Great decision by Fran. Sit a guy who might be able to score a couple buckets or get to the line. It's not like Evelyn was lighting it up. Hell play them both and sit Wieskamp when he is in turtle mode.

Toussaint shut down Winston all game. He turned it on right after Fran shut him down. Toussaint is on another level than Evelyn defensively, and he had already knocked down a three and 17 footer on offense. He was deflecting balls all over the place and single handedly destroying their pick and rolls. Absolutely ridiculous that he didn't play until he finally got in at the end.

I’m speechless on the whole thing. Joe T makes mistakes but he creates for others. Has quick hands and did a better job on Winston than Bakari did.

JT picked up his 3rd foul about 9 minutes left in the game. He didn't come back in until around 2 minutes left, I think Fran sat him too long but to be fair Bakari hit a 3 right about the time I thought he should have been yanked so I think Fran tried to see if he would get hot.

I thought that Fran coached a great game, but this was my only indictment of him (and mentioned it in the game thread as well).

JT had Winston on clamps all night, and was even hitting some jumpers. His ability to get defenses out of position could have been helpful down the stretch, especially as the Hawks struggled on offense

Honestly probably should have sat Weiskamp for Joe T after he declined to shoot that open 3 to pass to Evelyn who then turned it over.

That was a terrible possession to pass up two open shots to end up with no shot attempt.

Cordell is one of the best passers on the team. But that pass was bad and Luka didn't seal off Tillman. Both he and Pemsl erred there.

hawkalum2002, no he wasn't, but i don't blame Fran. He's got a shit tons of things going. This happens a lot, leaving a guy on the bench to long. Doesn't put a guy back in until the guy on the court screws up. then it reminds him to "hey I need to get back who ever back in. thats's on the the 4 assistants they should be bringing this kind of shit to his attention continuously through out the game

Pemsl is not a good passer. He makes poor decisions. Obviously he wants to help the team, but making at 50/50 pass is not a good decision.

Everything runs through Winston for them. Fran has to make harassing him the priority. Can’t let 3 fouls with 9 minutes left dissuade you, just can’t.

Ultimately, progress was made in many ways so it’s not a big deal. Just keep building to where we want to be.

Don't dislike either of them. But this is accurate. Toussaint defense was making a huge difference.
