Buzz Williams, Wojo, Beard those guys wouldn't come here. We have the worst facilities in the conference, the athletic department is not willing to put money into our facilities, and our AD has proven he has a tough time with his job. Those dudes aren't coming here. So if you all want to fire Fran, get ready for another mid major coach who has will come in and get a bunch of 2 and 3 star recruits. It is who we are, and unless we start cheating(Pitino will oblige) then get ready for a Darian Devries or Ben Jacobsen and the cycle will start all over again. We will be calling for their heads by year 5 or 6. Maybe the grass isn't always greener.

That is the problem with the Iowa athletic mindset. Every elite program in the NCAA bends or breaks the rules; some just do it better than others.

Also, the NCAA has proven over and over that there is really no major punishment for schools that break recruiting rules so.....why not right?

I am a Hawkeye fan first and foremost.....didn't like the way Tom Davis was treated but hoped that Alford would take us to the next level....I just truly don't know how I would feel about Rick Pitino taking over the reigns at Iowa......could I keep cheering for them? The first hint of scandal and potential probation problems would for sure put me over the edge.....fortunately I will never have to worry about that.

Miller is another good one. He would come to Iowa seeing his fall from grace. He would ''recruit'' guys that blow by their defender. He would "recruit" guys that could guard. He would "recruit" a true PG. I mean most on here talk about how Fran has failed miserably, lets get someone in here with no integrity so we can win.

I think we've had two 7 win season in the last 10 years in FB......one year worse than that. So, I traditionally enjoy the 8, 9, and even 12 win seasons.

I think what people don't get is that no one....not me or any other fan is happy with mediocrity. At the same time we realize that burning the program down by firing coaches is not something you go to because you are frustrated with the recent results.....if we right the ship this year in basketball we have a chance to finish strong and do really well.

I will also mention that when programs hire a cheater, or overlook cheating....wins don't mean anything. If you have to cheat to win, you didn't win. You didn't beat the people that were playing by the rules. Do it the right way or don't do it at all.
