I'm watching DW News and they just interviewed a few Trump supporters on why they like Trump. Here are the 2 answers I liked best (to the best of my recollection):

1. I really like the way he's trying to live a Christian life.

2. The Democrats are socialists; Antifa and BLM are terrorist organizations and are just like Hiter's Brown Shirts.

Pretty awesome stuff.

Over the last few years, I've often wondered what kind of odds I could've gotten in 2010 if I'd sought out a bet that every good old boy in the south would become an avid supporter of an overbearing, obnoxious, loudmouth, know-it-all from New York City.
trump is the real-life stereotype of the pushy New Yorker that the rural south - especially those in small towns in Florida - have always despised. Most around here have always lived by the philosophy of "we don't give a damn how you did it up north"

I've felt a similar way about "fascism", except usually that was a term lefties threw at righties, now it seems to just be lobbed in both directions when someone is an especial ass.

That's true. We believe in the Constitution, the Separation of Powers, and the Rule of Law. We also think it's a good thing for a President to be intelligent, informed, respectful and respectable and to carry him/herself with dignity and gravitas. We also think it's a bad thing to have a President who colludes with our country's enemies, cozies up to dictators and alienates our friends, and uses his office for his own self enrichment.

The closest thing to fascism in America right now is the arbitrary militant distribution of federal agents against civilian populations. This is supposed to be last resort alternative. The Orange Turd is a war lord authoritarian using federal troops against U.S. citizens for personal purposes. He pours gasoline on the fire of civil unrest instead of trying to mediate situations as a presidents always have, or should have.

He is devious and contriving, appealing to and scoring approval with his base at the expense of our society and future. The unrest is deeper than individual white on black shootings. It is the systemic racial problems that he fosters. He is the source of racial hatred and must be removed.
