I wrote that poorly. I was trying to say that Zelensky was attacked from the get-go.
Ukraine and Zelenskyy were attacked by Russia. Then he was set up in this "negotiation" and you want to blame Zelenskyy.

I agree Trump tried shaming the Ukrannian leader in front of the entire world. In the process he lowered the opinion of the US around the world. Especially with long time allies.

I don’t think anyone was ecstatic that he chose to run again. I’ll still dispute the dementia accusations - I just don’t believe anyone can say that based on brief clips posted online. I think a lot of people, like many with older relatives were in denial about how much he’d slipped until the debate, when you simply couldn’t hide it for 90 minutes.
I’m still trying to figure out what he said that insulted Trump.
As with many of Trump’s moves, you have to wait to see how it pans out. I don’t like any insinuation that this isn’t 100% on Russia but the end game isn’t to assign blame. It will not bring Putin to the table and result in either further escalation or annihilation of Ukraine.
My hope is he’s trying to end this thing by not committing troops and avoid another costly occupation like Afghanistan. That’s it. I hope that’s the end game.

It'll be interesting to see if that ever comes about. They seem to want this mineral deal really bad.
I would hope both sides do. US gets money back, Ukraine benefits from US interest there.

Zelensky was trying to negotiate a US security commitment in front of the media,.. after the administration had already indicated that any yet to be negotiated security arrangement would have to fall primarily on European shoulders...

But blaming Ukraine is not useful for any of that. As for hoping what his strategy is, it's funny that anyone still thinks he ever has an actual planned "strategy" for anything. He just spouts off whatever is bouncing around in his brain - primarily influence by emotions - at the moment.

3.5 years of denial. ONLY admitted it and replaced him after being exposed in the debate. Had the debate never happened, we could have very well had Biden v Trump. Heck we would likely be having talks right now about the 25th amendment and Harris taking over.

I think we will learn even more about Biden’s cognitive condition as time goes on. There are people now willing to speak up. I do believe Joe was showing signs of something more than old age.

I'm on the record saying, unequivocally, that Putin started the war.
The reason some people hedge on that is because they actually look back on history, and are aware of Putin's reasoning, and that's the broken promise of expanding NATO to eastern bloc countries, and the threat to keep expanding to Ukraine.
