I would love for him to come back; however, if he is gone then "Next Man Up."Players already speaking in the past tense about Wiesy.
Best of luck to him if true, really rep'd our school very well!Players already speaking in the past tense about Wiesy.
So you think he's gone...Players already speaking in the past tense about Wiesy.
I was just going to say the same thing. If you’re a good player and you can’t win with Luka Garza, I would go try and make some money in the NBA or Europe too.
So you think he's gone...
Of coarse that could mean that Joe T is leaving the program too....just saying.Joe T to Wiesy via Instagram: love you kid ! was blessed to play with you
My comment wasn’t meant to be a sleight against Wieskamp. More why come back to a worse team when you can go make money.I was just going to say the same thing.
He’s not an idiot & he knows that he’ll really get exposed next year by coming back.
If he couldn’t dominate way more than he did this year with Luka, he knows he’ll get smothered next year without him.
With the right team he can , my team the sixers give Korkmaz a 6-7 designated shooter quite a few minutes a game. If Jw can fill that role on the right team he has a chance.Look at the talent on display in the tournament and tell me JW is going to make an NBA roster. All 5 guys that started for Oregon would be more likely to make a roster than JW and that's just one team. He will do well in Europe but that will be there next year. What are the odds he works his way on to an NBA roster from the developmental league? Pretty slim IMO. Another year to work on his dribble drive game + the opportunity to be the featured scorer won't hurt his stock. Certainly his decision to make and I wish him the best.
Maybe Joe T is leaving. Maybe they’re talking about the past season since it’s over and is past tense. I’ll wait for him to confirm.Joe T to Wiesy via Instagram: love you kid ! was blessed to play with you

I agree he can shoot but the rest of his game is very limited IMO. Really cannot see NBA in his future, but who knows.Look at the talent on display in the tournament and tell me JW is going to make an NBA roster. He could stay at Iowa for 6 more years, still won't play in the NBA.
Everybody assumes NBA. Could be entering the portal.
You shut your mouth.
He is not NBA material. Best of luck.
Better off at a program that has been past the first weekend of the tourney at least once over the past two decades. We are what we are: crap. I’d leave this shit show as well.I'm not convinced JW is NBA material but I would not blame him one bit for exploring his opportunities beyond Iowa.
Like I said.He could be on a Uthoff trajectory.
Like I said.
Just a question of who is going to step up to take them. Keegan showed some flashes throughout the year of taking over as a scorer. Fredrick has on occasion but has also deferred entirely too much throughout his career so far. Pat looks for his shot. If Nunge is healthy, he could account for 10-15 a game. I think we need at least a couple 12-15 ppg scorers (including a go-to guy) plus a few 8-10 to be where we need to be offensivelyNot calling a leaving Garza, weezy, JBo addition by subtraction, but I can see another 20-22 win team next year too. Just redistributed points.
I think you are vastly underestimating how difficult it is to replace a guy like Garza especially without elite recruits.. Wieskamp as well, not many people around can light it up like that. I think we can have some ok teams going forward but next year could be ugly, I'm guessing we'll be bottom half of conference and miss tournament.. tough to predict multiple years out.Not calling a leaving Garza, weezy, JBo addition by subtraction, but I can see another 20-22 win team next year too. The guy shot 47% from 3, best shooter in the country this year still getting slandered by his own "fans"I was just going to say the same thing.
