Connor will be upgrade over Ellingson as backup PG because he handles better and he plays hard on defense. Connor and Baer do not change the team speed issues in perimeter.

Really will depend on how good of a season Baer has. If he 5-7 points a game much weight. If he has a good year and averages 8-12 points a game it might offset ONE bad loss.

It's going to be much tougher now to overcome this turd of a tourney performance.
There is little in the way of makeup they can accomplish in the non-con scedule. Even if they can somehow beat Va tech and the 'clones, that is not going to move the needle much as neither team is particularly good.
The two bad losses here have really hurt the chances.
I'm in an uncharacteristically optimistic mood and still say it's possible they can make the tourney field. But it appears now it will take a minimum of a 12 win season in league play just to get the kenpom/sagarin/rpi numbers to an acceptable level. Or they could pull an entirely out of left field upset and with the BTT.
The margin is very, very slim.
