Will there be a revolution of some sort in the next 50 years?

A long-deceased boss I had about 25 years ago (a retired professor) was convinced the have-nots would be coming over the wall for the haves before too long. He also argued that we wouldn’t be able to build walls high enough.

Leaving aside that we just elected a billionaire who seems intent on stocking his administration with fellow billionaires, thoughts on whether this is a realistic possibility?
Thanks man. I just sent a note to the maintenance manager of my community to fortify that gate and install that razor wire that we voted in last month.

Been around the world and 47 states you...
Then surely you know that being poor in America is a pretty good gig. Unless you spent all that time touring palaces. (You didn’t think that one through, did you, hayseed).

( Cue 5cardpunkass hitting the “laugh” emoji in 4, 3, 2 …..)

This person loves parentheses!

Nope.
They might get rudimentary/basic care, but they get nothing close to what citizens in Denmark/Norway/Sweden have.
Wrong again. They’re using the same hospitals and doctors that the rest of use. Louisiana’s “charity hospitals” are long gone. But regardless, why should non-producers enjoy the same benefits as producers? Seems patently unfair.

Been to poor areas around the world. Get out more.

Idiot.
Tied with Texas for the WORST in America.
I’m going with what I’ve actually seen and what every Louisiana physician has told me (I know a lot of them) rather than what your “statistics” purport to say. Like I said, come spend a few decades here and see for yourself. Until then, STFU.

hawkeyetraveler:
Hey man, you do you. But the reason you don’t get much attention is most posters on here have already ignored you because you come across as a raging lunatic with increasingly violent rhetoric.

You just seem so wound up - can’t afford to pay your bills or something? Maybe relax a bit is all I’m saying. After all, I highly doubt the debt collector will repossess your shitty double wide.

Whoa! I was worried you lost a mine. Glad it didn't turn out that way.
Well, we actually did lose a mine the same moment we lost the kid. That's kinda the way it works. But the good news is that we replaced the mine and the unfortunate couple are just happy that their child was safe from the Mexican child traffickers.

In historic terms. That doesn't mean the last 2 years havent been harder than it was 5 years ago. You know that though.
Any economic prosperity during Trump's term can largely be attributed to factors independent of his actions, while much of the inflation that followed stemmed from the pandemic's disruptions and the impact of tariffs introduced during his administration.

Me thinks these aren't the the delusions of a retired professor but they are rather your own delusions, and me also thinks you're a have not.
